Sounds like Howard Webb is being the twelfth man for Spurs this afternoon and once again VAR is playing the refs union and refusing to overrule obviously wrong on-pitch decisions. Seriously… what is the point?
Frank not getting his new(ish) manager bounce?
VK on the other hand is just fantastic. I have no doubt that he will at some point go on to much bigger things than Burnley.
As a man city fan, I love Komapany with a passion, I would absolutely love to see him manage city after Guardiola. He was always smarter than the average player, and appears to be a thoroughly decent human being. I wondered if becoming a coach within city might be the best path for him, but he wanted to go his own way and I am so happy it is working out for him.

Alan Shearer begs to differ, I think he's still going on about Brentford's second penalty
Vinnie Kompany wasn’t just an unbelievable player, he was a born leader who just had this massive presence and authority on the pitch, like Viera or Keane. I’m not surprised those qualities have transferred over to his management abilities
He does also seem like a thoroughly nice bloke (though I wouldn’t fancy arguing with him)
As an aside @MSP, my mate is a Citeh fan who took his 9 year old son to watch them train earlier this week. He has got his photo with all the first team and with Pep. He said honourable mentions went to Jack Grealish and Calvin Phillips who stopped and spent ten minutes chatting with his lad, asking him what position he played etc and giving him pointers. Two thoroughly nice blokes

Yeah, just watched the highlights, first disallowed goal was never handball, it was up at the shoulder, so well above the 't-shirt' line, it was obvious from the actual size, let alone zooming in! Same with the penalty appeal, what makes them worse is that it's Howard Webb in another city who's making the on-field decision as the ref was never called to the monitor.
Bloody hell, that was sone finish by Haaland!’😳
Grealish looks unplayable at the moment too.
Watched the Mitoma vs Hojbjerg 'penalty' and in no way was that a clear and obvious error. Mitoma was going down regardless and and contact was minimal.
I'm all for a ref conspiracy theory but that one doesn't pass the sniff test imo.

Yeah, plus he's not the England captain so no chance of getting it anyway.
Mitoma was going down regardless and and contact was minimal.
if you say so?!

Tap-in merchant Haaland strikes again.
Been watching the USA v Ireland women's game, the USA look like they were coached by Mr Kane. A few phantom tackles or the Irish ladies are cloggers.
It’s becoming a running joke on Sky about Spurs. They all literally rolled their eyes and we’re openly laughing about Kane, Son and Romero all regularly rolling around on the floor like they’d been shot
When the Sky pundits are openly taking the piss out of the diving antics, because it’s every bloody week…?
Brighton we’re robbed today.
Frank not getting his new(ish) manager bounce?
When I read earlier in the week that he was back at Chelsea I couldn’t believe it!
The 3 points we got today will hopefully keep us up. Cheers Frank!
Just read The Guardian paraphrasing Sepp that Haaland is now at the same level as Messi and Ronaldo. Might need to do it for few more seasons first methinks.
Starting to accept Forest will go back down again, it's been an experience, I forgot how much of a goldfish bowl the Prem was, the gap is huge now compared to when we came up with Collymore and Co. but that's what being out of the league for 23 years will do.
I think that even if we lost every game till the end of the season most of the supporters would still back Cooper, he's brought the club together so much that even as an ex-season ticket holder in the 90s, now living in Cardiff having not been to a match for 20yrs it's him that's got me onto a Forest forum sharing thoughts etc wanting to be a part of something, he's really made something special and if he goes we'll lose that, we'll be back to the merry-go-round of phone it in managers looking to try their hand for a season.
The club has tried to do the impossible through nessisity and it's not worked out, hope Cooper stays, hope a few of the signings stay to give us some consistency.
After we lost to Leicester in October 4:0 the away stayed and chanted Cooper's name till the death, when we played at home Cooper played a video of that to the team before the game and said 'you owe them' and we won, that's what I want, a bit of pride, passion and some belief.
Someone once said if you go up hang on to those special memories, that home win against Liverpool, that 1:1 against City coming back from a goal down have given that - we're in the mix as expected, and got close, maybe next time. COYRs!
Starting to accept Forest will go back down again
You got beat of Villa, they are only behind Man City and Arsenal on the form table.
You are within 3 points of 7 teams, still a lot of football to play.
I can't see Southampton getting out of it mind, really tough run in.
Starting to accept Forest will go back down again
I don't think anyone is nailed on for relegation yet. That table is so congested at the bottom that I can see it going down to the last kick of the last game, and it being one of those bonkers days where each goal scored changes the bottom three
I'm looking forward to the Liverpool Arsenal game this afternoon as I'll be watching it with a scouser who is going to be massively conflicted about wanting Liverpool to win, while knowing this will do Citeh a massive favour. Is it just my mates or do all Liverpool fans seem to have developed this absolute loathing of Citeh?
6th 🦁💜💙
Is it like, 2009 or something?
WTF has happened to VVD? He is defending like a relegation threatened donkey of a centre back.
Shocking refereeing at the Brighton game 👎
It was so bad it looked like a fix (probably just sheer incompetence though 🤷♂️)
There's been a result today already you know...
Bloody hell Roy, what a result !!!
I think we're safe now, just need the right gaffer to prepare for next season.
APF
Well that was a humdinger!!!
Half way through the first half it looked like Liverpool could be on for getting absolutely tonked 6 or 7 nil
Liverpool being Liverpool though, I’d stick a tenner on them losing to Leeds next week
There’s been a result today already you know…
Bloody hell Roy, what a result !!
Absolutely bonkers result, that. That’s about the same as you’ve scored all season, isn’t it? 😂
Fair play to Woy though. He knows what he’s doing
They’d have been fine with Vieira I’m sure. Panic sacking given their run in.
Liverpool being Liverpool though, I’d stick a tenner on them losing to Leeds next week
That ain't gonna happen - a damaging result for Leeds and what little confidence they had since Gracia took charge is well and truly obliterated after the Palace defeat.
Loved watching Hodgson in the post match interview, trying to stay calm and measured whilst failing miserably in hiding his absolute joy!
Felt sorry for Vieira, I saw Palace at OT a few weeks back and they were unlucky not to get a draw (Olise stood out that day as well), I'm pretty sure that Vieira would have kept Palace up but I'm not alone in thinking that way so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get another job soon.
And Eze by name, easy by nature. Watching him and Olise cut loose was a joy and that, as much as the scoreline put the joy on Roy's face at the end. .
I haven't watched crystal palace much, but from the highlights on MOTD etc their performances in the bad run of results seemed pretty decent, they just didn't get the rub of the green. So IMO this result could have happened under Viera, palace fans who watch them more might of course be in a better position to judge differently.
What do we reckon on the linesman elbowing Robinson? I kind of agree with Keane, Robinson is a big baby, likes to give it out and starts crying when he gets some back. Looks like he grabs the linesman first and he reacts to it badly, it is a weird movement to just try and suggest he was "shrugging off Robinsons grab" and you could see in his face he knew he had done something wrong.
I think the linesman will have to be suspended, but so will Robinson, not as bad as the Mitrovic incident but a fair bit worse than the Bruno shove.
I think it’s something that should be encouraged, so that when Mitrovic grabbed the ref he should have retaliated by head butting him. The likes of Kane and Romero who are constantly rolling around like they’ve been shot should be hoofed in the slats by the ref to give them a reason to roll around.
Lino will be in trouble, probably held to a higher account than Robertson. I don't think he meant to elbow him, but was an annoyed 'get your hands off me' that turned into an elbow.
Incredible point to me was that Robertson didn't seem to be poleaxed and need lengthy treatment before going off for his halftime orange. I don't know what to infer from that. maybe match officials have soft cushioned elbows in comparison to players?
Sure, linesman should be disciplined, but putting your hands on an official should be a couple of weeks automatic ban, IMO.
I don't think there's an equivalence, with respect to officials, as they need to be held to a much higher standard. Having seen the footage (admittedly from distance). Robertson appears to ask a question to the linesman, who walks on appearing to actively ignore him; Robertson seemingly places an arm on his back (yes, this is wrong if he did) but doesn't seem to be grabbing him. The linesman's reaction is the only physically aggressive part of the interaction, from the footage I've seen; he's actually lashing out.
To be booked for it was impressive though.
https://twitter.com/stephebissett/status/1645106752029970432
Robinson was clearly praying, when the linesman sprang a surprise attack an him.
Does the fact he was booked for it mean he can't also be retrospectively punished
Think it'll be pretty much over now for the incident, a few words after the game, apologies and the assistant will get some training or a week or two off games.
Thankfully it wasn't the England captain it happened too, he'd have been on the ground for most of halftime and the second half would start with a penalty for him to take 😂
It’s acted as a nice distraction from Howard Webb having to issue yet more apologies for the appalling standard of officiating that has once again cost teams points.
I’m sure that will come as a great comfort to Brighton
https://twitter.com/______football/status/1645184027584876546
Respectfully, I don't think it'll be over soon.
Looks like the assistant referee has spent a fair bit of time in the gym,
I'm not suggesting he's roided up or anything...
I've just seen the Roy Keane reaction
Its peak Keano! 😂
https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1645134570876968962?s=20
I still don't understand why players do this, the refs and assistants will not have a pally chat with them going in, it's not going to do anything other than let the player let off steam, which they can do in the dressing room in a minutes time.
There's far too much harassing of the ref and their team at games for me, i think there needs to be more control on the pitch by the captains to stop this, and that's why i pick on Kane and Fernandes a lot, they are captains, they should not be going to the ref unless requested, we keep saying make it more like rubgy, but it really does need it these days, maybe bring in a sin bin, harass the officials, get 5 minutes to cool off.
Roy Keane's third baby is comedy gold. Even he laughs at it.
And today's big news - Paul Ince sacked from Berkshire's premier team with five games to go.
I suspect without the 6 points deduction we would have survived, this now feels like a last desperate grab at 'new manager bounce' shaped straws.
But his post match pronouncements had started to feel like losing the dressing room, so maybe it is for the best.
And today’s big news – Paul Ince sacked from Berkshire’s premier team with five games to go.
must have seen it coming from all angles though 👀
Just reading that Everton are about to terminate the contract of Deli Alli after a pretty shambolic loan deal at Bestiktas. I'd forgotten he was even at Everton.
Its difficult to see how you can go from a red hot international and club prospect at 19, to having your career effectively over at 27 (well... a few years before now, in all honesty). It seems its not for physical injuries either but mental health issues
re Robertson:
He's been an absolute shithousery Jedi for as long as I can remember. An absolute master at the dark art and 2nd only to Darth Emi Martinez IMHO.
I think this one caught up with him. If he hadn't been whinging in the Lino's ear, after hours, he wouldn't have caught the accidental elbow.
Been busy today and just noticed that Paul Ince has gone - kinda feel a little for him working with a board of directors that cost us 6 points but one comment on the BBC made me chuckle: 'Bye bye to 'The Guv'nor', the ridiculous nickname he gave himself'
Every former United player always gets a good reception on returning to OT, with one notable exception…
Paul Ince
Citeh were excellent tonight.
A real team performance as well, there is a argument for every player in the man of the match award. John Stones and Nathan Ake for ****s sake, over the years their has been many centre backs who commentators claim could step into midfield, Stones and Ake are the first ones I can recall who actually have, and done it with aplomb.
Yep, thought Bayern would pose a bit of a challenge but City were very good. Could be their year for some European trinket.
City were excellent but Madrid will pump them before being pumped themselves by Napoli.
Make it so.
João Félix' job interview not going too well tonight.
Are refs contractually obligated to book the opposition at the Bernabéu?
Ladies and gentlemen, your club captain and howler waiting to happen on the rare occasions he ventures onto the pitch…
Harry Maguire
Don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out slabhead 🙄
The worst signing in footballing history
Don't you remember Gary Birtles?
I could see it happening, Seville were using the art of shithousery to get that draw and the ref fell for it.
Bit harsh, he knew nothing about that one, Malacia's was way way worse!
It was one of those games where ManU should have been clear and easy, but the changes, then Martinez injury didn't help and gave Seville that glimmer of hope.
What's harsh, the playacting? Even for once the commentators mentioned it. There was a hand push to the face by Weghorst which poleaxed a Seville player for a sizable amount of time. Baby. Baby.
It was quite a Spursy performance by them.
The worst thing to take out of last night is that with Martinez out it looks like we'll be starting the remaining games with Maguire and Lindeloff in central defence, so there goes the season. We'll be shipping goals left, right and centre with that pair, Maguire might well score a few at the wrong end himself
What’s harsh, the playacting?
No, Binner's assessment of Maguire's og
I mean, he is a liability but little he could actually do about last night's calamity which was just a one of those things deflection
As Jon said, thought Maguire's OG was just really bad luck, he wasn't doing anything wrong, he didn't even move his head, it just smacked him and went in, Malacia on the other hand let the ball run to the Seville player, so was the cause of his OG in the end.
Spanish teams are just hard to play against due to their sh*thousery, they just get away with it in Europe all the time, where the standard of referee's can be a bit suspect at times, due to the pool of officials they have to use.
I thought the Maguire goal was brilliantly taken, showed real strikers instinct to head that into the corner.
Emm... I missed the goal by Maguire, tea called.
It may have been unlucky, but he has an uncanny ability to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, invariably pointing at the place where he should be. His positional play is absolutely dreadful, which is why he never starts unless literally everyone else is out injured.
Ten Hag has been playing Luke Shaw in that position before starting Maguire and Shaw has been consistently better than him
He's an absolute donkey!
Not all Spanish (hmm, tetchy subject) footballers are shithousers.
Premier leaguers take note. Be more Carles
https://twitter.com/MyGreatest11/status/1646483346250145793
Villa absolutely all over Newcastle.
Let's see what magic Eddie can come up with at half time.
If we're talking, as we were, about individual players having a renaissance, how about a whole club?
What a job Emery has done at Villa! I've always had a hatred of Villa, formed during the Paul lambert era, where they were always just about escaping relegation by grinding out spirit-crushingly dull 0-0 draws by parking the bus for 90 minutes. Guaranteed last game on MOTD every single week. Absolutely awful! I'm sure I wasn't alone in cheering when they finally went down and hoped they'd never darken the Premier League again
This is a blinding match though, and I hate to say it but they're now really good to watch! Ollie Watkins has been superb this season
EDIT: Right on cue!😂
Yep, Emery has done well to turn them round after Stevie G did his best to get into a relegation battle. His old mate Frank is kinda blowing his Chelsea manager audition 😀
His old mate Frank is kinda blowing his Chelsea manager audition
Nice of the Brighton fans to give him a rousing chorus of ‘sacked in the morning’ 😂
Spurs be Spursying too.
A good set of results for us with Newcastle losing too, but we’ve got the chuckle brothers back in defence tomorrow so I’m not banking on anything
I bet Pep wishes City had the Ipswich goal difference.....just saying...
@muggomagic - it should be an absolute belter!
I know some people are saying it’s likely to be an all Manchester final. I’m certainly not. Nor are any other United fans I know. I think that’s being incredibly insulting to Brighton as they look like they can beat anyone at the moment. One things for sure.. we won’t be keeping a clean sheet against a squad like Brighton with that defence, so it’s game on!
Well the biscuit men got a draw against mighty Burnley - the impossible fight starts.
and in doing so means they can't overtake our record points tally.
Double result
Yes! 05-06 record still safe.
I think Wrexham can still set an English football points record in the National league
Piers ****ing Morgan!
*sorry for the gambling advert.
Looks like an absolute demolition job on West Haaaaaam here. Two up in 10 minutes with some proper quality football. Could be a cricket score if they carry on like this
Hope former Irish international Rice is having a stormer.
West Ham are having ago now. 1-2.
I love the psychology of it all, game by game but also at this time of the season. Squeaky bum time, if you will.
I reckon the 2 goal lead is at almost as dangerous as the 1 goal, perhaps more when it's early, if you don't go on and extend. Because you should be able to manage that and yet, concede and then you're just a goal away from blowing it. And you know it too....'surely we aren't going to blow a 2 goal lead?' Panic starts to set in, the other team have nothing to lose and weird stuff happens. I know it's confirmation bias, loads of times a side goes 2 up and then wins comfortably but then there's been enough times to not discount completely.
And particularly having blown a 2 goal lead last week, SURELY they can't do it again..... Arteta has a job on with a youngish team to get those thoughts out of their heads at half time.
