You’d better check with Mrs Binners before you place that bet!

Good result today though...surprisingly good!

She ALWAYS bets on Burnley at home, fella.

She’s made a bloody killing off that bet, over the last couple of seasons!

Why do you reckon Arsenal are so inconsistent? It can be like watching two totally different sides from week to week?

Mind you, you could say the same about everyone else, bar City

God knows why Ozil is so inconsistent! I would say the it’s the first time that Our two best centre backs have played together for a long time and they give us the platform to play well. I would have brought Jack on for Chaka at 60mins.

And another one bites the dust. Tony Pulis has just been sacked.

Another club for Sean Dyche to be linked with then? 😆

That's been coming for a while...

West Ham seemed to have all of their old failings yesterday.

I can't see Moyes doing anything other than exactly replicating his experience at Sunderland. Its like deja vu already

Moyes mk1 wouldn't be a bad shout as a short-term appointment - get the defence organized etc. The trouble is that we've had Moyes mk2 for quite a long time now. I would've preferred to see the club appoint an up and coming manager from the championship.

Funny how Managers who have, in the past been pretty successful seeming to run out of steam. You can't think that Pulis is doing anything differently, so do the players just get lazy?

Normally a new manager means a win in his first match then back to the old ways. Moyes is cleverly bucking that trend.
I predict a win next week and then the longest unbeaten run ever in the premiership.

Looky what I just got! A Stanley Chow print of De Gea, ready to be framed. How cool is that?!!

I suspect, given the mixed look of pity and contempt I just got off Mrs Binners, that the only place I'll be able to put it up is in the shed 😀

man the CL is aff the scale these days, no that long ago we'd have fancied our chance of taking the odd result against the best, brutal!

Anyhow, that's the distaction done, 0-2 against anderlecht in a few weeks see's us in the europa, job done. fingers crossed! reckon I'll have chewed through those fingers by the end up though! 😆

Be interested to see how the english clubs do against PSG. Good luck! if any of you get them in the draw. Despite our ineptitude and them being immense going forward, i reckon better teams will get chances against them. aim for winning 4-3 or something though! 😆

Some inspirational news expected from Goodison Park today - Big Sam to be unveiled as manager with a backroom team of Sammy Lee and Craig Shakespeare.

Its difficult to see how Big Sams philosophy of 'hoof it long to the big man' is going to fit in with a club that is so conspicuously missing said big man

I expect Andy Carrol will be arriving back on Merseyside in January 😆

If you haven't seen it already, then take a moment to appreciate this from last night

on top of two absolute peaches by...

Ashley Young 😯

They've not been blowing teams away of late as they were earlier in the season. Massive win tonight though as United could have cut the gap to 3 points if they were to win the derby.

They've just remarked on Five Live: Pep's nicked Fergies watch 😀

But that's how you win titles. Not just the 5 nil demolitions, but grinding out results with late winners. I reckon the title is a given now, but I reckon the squad is so good that they've got to fancying their chances of going the whole season unbeaten. Especially as Pep keeps saying they can't do it.

Did anyone see the Rooney quote? We needed to show the manager what sort of players they are, yep beating West ham certainly proved something. Was chatting to my folks about pardew as the gift that keeps on giving once you get shot of him as a manager, fat sham is about the same.

Think the Rooney goal was the only 'insane' goal of the night, with Sterling's a very good one, and Girouds''s first goal also top quality.

Big game on Saturday Binners.... what do you think? 😐

Southampton tried to disrupt citehs rythm by time wasting, but they made it too obvious, every dead ball situation they were in control of took 30 seconds longer than would be expected, and they had more than ten. Forster got booked for it, but I thought they were generally getting away with it and deserved more bookings, thankfully it had been noticed and that was where the time came from.

What a match this is?!!! 😯

A proper old school United Arsenal ding dong! God knows how they’ve not got at least one back.

Loved Ramsey shaking Matic’s hand with a “how the **** did you keep that out?” Look on his face. I was asking the same question

Could be anything, this?

nice double bluff there Binners.

Only complaint, how come Lingard got MoM when Arsenal had 31 shots and De Gea made what? 5? 6? world class saves.

Once again, 1 in the goals for column is seen as worth more than the 1 that doesn't appear in the goals against.

surprisingly few bookings and the red a tad harsh - in terms of what happened in the game but you can see why it was given.

Entertaining to say the least

Next week will be slightly more defensive in nature

I now have a standard bet on every City game to be 5-0. I might go for double that today

Today’s Observer is praising De Gea’s performance yesterday as the greatest goalkeeping display of the premiership era. And noting the matter-of-fact way in which he goes about it. No drama, shouting, fist-pumping or anything. Just another day at the office

I wonder how big a bid Real are preparing for him now?

Are you insane? The guy deliberately stamped on the back of the guy's knee. If that isn't a red card, then they may as well just stop giving them completely. Pogba should also have a couple of games added to his ban for this protestations afterwards.

It was a bloody stupid thing to do, and it was a definite red. He can't have any complaints. Given that he'll now miss the derby next week, which any potential title challenge is going to hinge on, its doubly stupid!

Just re watched it what angle have you got as there was none that allowed you to say this- link please

he seems to just chase the ball miss it [ not by much] and stamp on his leg
I dont think its intentional but you can see why its given

its not that the best team has to earn how to beat a team that parks the bus and leaves no space. they will adapt, they have the talent, but it might take a bit of time

Its not like West Ham deserve a lead

I’d say they thoroughly deserve the lead.

City have created eff all! They might as well be openly yawning, they look so complacent and disinterested. They haven’t turned up, and the scoreline reflects that

Can anyone recommend a parking spot for Old Trafford? A friend is taking me to the game on Sun, but I'll be coming back from a CX race in Wrexham [slated to finish around 2.30 but there's always some slippage] and may need to drive straight there. Any ideas? Don't really know Trafford at all.

Derby predictions?

Liverpool will beat Everton, 3 - 1. Think I'll sit on the fence for Utd v City, 1 - 1 (but a Utd win wouldn't surprise me - I think they can get at City's defence, if Jose lets them).

Fabulous interview with Klopp. Whether it's frustration, whether it was a penalty or not, I think it's great to see someone who can be respectful but also opinionated - far rather that than the stuff you see from Mourinho or even Guardiola where they basically refuse to answer questions.

Setting your team up to give away 75% possession at OT and whining about the ref. Not what United fans really want to see at home.

Amusing though, Mourinho spending the build-up talking about how City are a bunch of divers. Herrera needs to work on making it look a bit more convincing.

Happy days... 😀

The title is done and dusted

Let’s take a moment to re-live the last time someone threw away a lead like that. Somehow I can’t see Pep doing this...

Yeah, but Jose ain’t Fergie. Nobody is. Takes a special talent to cause this....

You’d think somebody would have shown him the Keegan thing and said ‘this is what he does’, then you lose it, implode, and he wins the title. Again.

Unfortunately, I can only see this City squad getting better. I reckon we could be looking at absolute domination for a few seasons. Everybody is playing catch-up already, far from convincingly.

I hate to say it, but its great to watch

I wonder what odds I can get on them doing the treble this season?

Big fella up front is not that convincing in attack or defence.

His confidence is shot. You can see that he doesn't want the ball. He needs dropping for a few games.

City should be happy. Potential banana skins for Liverpool and United, but ones they should overcome. Quite a tough draw for spurs (especially after having the toughest group in the last stage), and hard to see a worse draw for Chelsea.

Waiting to see how the draw will come together over the coming rounds, at least we will lose either Madrid or PSG.

This seems to be the order.

Juventus v Tottenham
FC Basel v Manchester City
Porto v Liverpool
Sevilla v Manchester United
Real Madrid v PSG
Shakhtar Donetsk v Roma
Chelsea v Barcelona
Bayern Munich v Besiktas

I think that means that the 4 English teams in the top half of the draw only have Juve as a big challenger and each other to prevent them from reaching the final (ok another team may find a shock result). While the bottom half is likely to see the "favourites" eliminate each other.

I am reasonably confident of an English finalist this year.
