It's interesting to get a view of just how slow and ponderous normal people are compared even with retired footballers. Is Gordon Ramsay in it this year or has he run out of tendons to snap?

Watched the last 5 mins of the first half and thought I might vomit, but thankfully left it on and now loving the half time slagging off!

You miserable bunch - it’s good fun! Admittedly the build up was dire, but the match is a laugh, as it was supposed to be. Farah against Bolt is interesting...

I refuse to donate to charity when it involves folks doing something enjoyable.. Whether that be my mates skydiving, or pampered celebs having a kick around at Wembley with a bunch of ex pros.

Want my cash.. Do something you don't want to do like sit in a bath full of baked beans for 24 hrs.

*pedant alert* it’s notnat Wembley it’s at old Trafford... But I agree, I haven’t given any money, the monetary value of all the players could probably raise more money without the match, but hey ho it’s fun

Yeah, well done 🙄.  Doubt Bob the local postman sitting in a bath of beans is going to raise £5 million though.  As much as I despise most of the z list attention seeking non-celebrities taking part for ‘exposure’, the overall results does appear to be raising a significant sum for charity.

Sort of but not really.

Yes, the "sponsor me to go skydiving" angle is generally obnoxious.

However, this isn't the same. It's not about paying celebrities for the challenge of playing it's about paying for the television product they're creating.

I've got no interest in Dave From Accounts skydiving, but lots of people want to see Bolt vs Farah on a football pitch. They are leveraging their celebrity to raise cash (and their own PR image) which isn't the same.

As with all these things one is best just giving to a fantastic local grassroots charity where 99% of the cash goes where it's needed.
