i was thinking, I enjoy different songs for different occasions, but what would be the ultimate soundtrack to a road film where you're escaping a zombie invasion?
I'd go for
It's got to be...
OO, I'll play; I'd want to escape in 70's attire in homage to George Romero, so the post modernist in me would habe to do it to the Beastie Boys - Sabotage
But a small apart of me would like to do it in a more serene cartoon style, so something like Sucrette - Momo, would fit the bill
and the video reminds me of the Mrs popping down the shops 🙂
(although what with stopping to dance along so much, i doubt i'd last long)
additionally, my zombie music video du jour
(i'd take this'n for dong the fast driving and mowing people down malarky)
more prudently in my case, which song for hitchhiking out of a zombie apocalypse?
Y'know what?
I'd turn around, and ****emallup. Big style. With this on my pod.
I'd be singing along to whatever's in my car CD player. The zombies would run away. Given.
I could see myself going ape on a load of zombies to this.
also appropriate!
That classical bit, Adagio for Strings something or other. Or something like it.
I can't see any of the vids above but post-Shaun of the Dead, it'd have to be Queen and Don't Stop Me Now...
In fact, I might put that on next time I'm playing Black Ops Zombies 🙂
You couldn't take the Zombie Holocaust seriously listening to this though 🙂
I cannot see any of the vids either - darn firewall - but I reckon it would have to be Jeffery Lewis 'If You Shoot The Head You Kill The Ghoul'. Informative and a good tune.
ooh, nice to hear some Buck 65 on here
This works in a weird way
Highway to Hell - The mighty AC/DC
Failing that, got to have some nice gangsta rap so that you can pop caps at fools whilst driving with da roof down
Definitely Municipal Waste's 'The Art of Partying'
I changed my mind...
gotta be this:
its Gotta Be:
Admittedly, more likely to try attacking them listening to this.
I can imagine a chase/fight scene to this
Depends if they are Running or Walking Zombies.
Running Zombies = Breathe by The Prodigy.
Walking Zombies = Perfect Day by Lou Reed.
Either way i see it as less of an escape than a last stand. Cornered in a dimly lit passageway automatic weapon in hand, axe by my side and a suicide vest for a final act of defiance. It doesn't end well but it is glorious.
Given you'd all be attracting the zombies with your music and/or unable to hear their approach i'd go silently on my way.
Pretty much everything by The Meteors
No idea why. Just seems right.
you're going about this all wrong
