... you just want to, you know, throw the windows open on a hot summer's night and, like, kick some ass.

What do you put on?

Precisely this.

Get back down the pub and we can continue this conversation at a more suitable hour.

Good shout Woppit - I'll suggest Rory Gallagher Live in Europe or Stupidity by the (original) Feelgoods or anything by Nine below Zero.

As for Flashy's ZZ Top - I'll go George Thorogood

Something timeless.....

Maybe some stride piano so Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson or Meade Lux Lewis.

Back to radio 3.......

Definitely Rory Gallagher but I'd recommend "Irish Tour".  Alternatively Johnny Winter at Rockpalast, that guy can sure play.

CG - great shout for Johnny Winter; how about Canned Heat?

Albert Lee playing Country Boy, Alvin Lee with TYA at Woodstock or Dave Edmonds.

All of a certain era but class is permanent.....

I think I agree with Mr Woppit, "Heartbreaker" in particular. Though Zeppelin IV too for "Black Dog" and "Rock & Roll".

As I usually get back about midnight, sticking something loud on isn’t really an option, my next-door neighbours and my g/f are likely to object.

frankconway - yep, Canned Heat sounds good and their Woodstock set was brilliant.  Here's Woodstock Boogie:

Johnny playing Suzie Q at Rockpalast, fantastic performance:

This is interesting, he's playing with his brother Edgar.  It's Tobacco Road:

Much class.

It varies, but being the first comfortable summer evening in three months, I'm reminded of this:

Budgie are a good shout on a day when Geraint Thomas secures the 2018 TDF, being they’re from Cardiff too.

Which reminds me that I saw them perform once. We’d just moved to a new house in Pentwyn and snuck into the 1978 National Eisteddfod - Budgie were playing.

Just got back from the pub on a stag do and I’m sitting here eating a stack of profiteroles hoping I don’t wake the wife up.

Not sure I’ll be biking in the morning.

The morning after and chillin' to some Bridge of Sighs/Robin Trower while drinking good coffee.

On the Welsh theme, should have thrown on some Man last night in celebration of G.

King Crimson, Absent Lovers album starting with Larks' Tongues in Aspic  Pt.II and Red.

A classic lineup and a brilliant setlist.

I'm in grumpy middle age mode these days and I object if my neighbours get back past midnight, windows/doors open and loud music comes on.
