Now Pidcock and Evie are in, who reckons we are going to win then.

I think we are in with a good chance in the Men's - given Pidcocks previous form, but the French rider seems to be on a different level, so Evie could be in for a hard battle.

Evie us good but I can't see her getting the win.

Pidcock will be in the mix. I don't know how gridding works at the Olympics. If it's done by a nation's points he'll be starting at the back.

I didn’t know “we” were riding it, but I’m game, what time and where is it, will there be a pub or cake stop?

jimmy748 - I reckon we should become nationals of some tiny micro state that hasn't entered anyone and get an entry on the basis that the sport needs to be open to all country's. Then we could line up and get lapped before we even do a lap.

Pidcock should have a good shot, depends how hilly the course is MVP favourite if it's flatter, those two look a step up from the rest if on form.

a quick google didn't suggest how they determine start order.
Anyone know?

It's hard to see anyone else other than Lecomte winning the women's if she can keep her current form.

Mens is more open I think. MvdP must be a contender but he seems to struggle in the heat. Pidcock is strong but his injury will have set him back.

Half the stw team will need to dig the 90s niche bike from the shed where it's sat since the 90s (only 20genuine miles)

Lecomte, well, got to be about as sure a win as we've seen in years in a race... Pidock or VDP though i'm thinking for the mens, which will be a shame for Fluckinger who's flying in the series, but he's not quite at their level when it comes down to it.
I'm really interested in what Nino does, he's been, well, disappointing lately really.

Agreed Weeksy, but Nino does have way more experience, will that help, or is it just pedalling harder than everyone else that makes you a winner - not sure.

On the other hand he has one of each colour, so perhaps he has not got the same motivation.

No idea of how they line up at the start, starting position is normally very important.
