Holidayed in Tunisia last year and the hotel had been acquired by a Russian company. Staff there were not happy and reckoned the Russians were on a mission to buy up lots of holiday property. I am positive I spotted the same hotel manager in a hotel in Crete we stayed in later that year!
Realistically your chances of getting caught up in a terrorist attack are still incredibly low. I can't do the statistics but I imagine your drive to/from the airport will still be the most dangerous bit of the trip.
The big question mark is over Turkey. That being said they take security around Tourism very seriously. I'm certainly happy to continue visiting the country as it stands.
It's a matter of time for Turkey as they are just denying the under current at the moment. Their problem is simply that some of the sleep cells will create a problem by blaming the authoritarian president or whoever has been in power for the last 12 years. One the shite hit the fan you will truly see a separate Turkey with one on the West (moderate western style) and the other East (hell bend on being religious) ...
