Some last minute jobs rolling in and it could mean I'm in on the 23rd 🙄
Was hoping to be done same day as the kids on the Friday! So not quite two weeks off. Falls nicely this year with only needing 2 days holiday from next years allowance.
Xmas eve... Back on the 27th.... 🙁
Don't, working dayshift Xmas day nights Boxing Day
Finish on the 19th, back on the 6th 😀
1st of October 😀
Edit:- sorry thought you asked when DID you break up for Christmas
Well when we had a chat about it all a few weeks back I was finishing on the 20th and back in on the 2nd, and only having to use a couple of days hol, that run out on the 31st anyway. Not sure if this was entered on the hol rota as it's electronic and the boss does it. Apparently now I'm in on the 23rd and 24th!!! Not really happy about it so going to have a chat today and see if I can get it to stick or at least get paid/roll over the hols days I'd loose.
Still got a big day out somewhere planned for the 30th so looking forward to the anyways.
Finish at 1pm this Friday, back on 7th Jan.
8)
I dont either 🙁 just the bank hols
Christmas Eve, hopefully before 7pm this year!
Can't go in Christmas Eve no matter what as we're at Alton Towers splash landings for the day 😯
pretty much bang-on 7pm Christmas eve for me
- which shops will still be open ?
Break on the 20th back on the 6th.
Straight into a SQA (Scottish Qulaifications Authority) paperchase, so will need to sort my files in the downtime.
Thursday 19th is my last day back on the 6th.
7 working days left, hopefully I'll manage not to strangle any of the half wits I share my work environment with!
Festive greetings to one and all.
Finish on the 18th and back on the 2nd.
Finish on the 20th until the 6th, although technically as I have a sick note from the 6th December - so I suppose that I have already broken up
finish on 18th, back on 8th
woot 😀
Start new job on 23rd 😀
Half day 24th 8)
Off til 6th 😛
I finish three days off on the 22nd and am then at work through until the 3rd Jan.
Six-monthly A320 driving test falls on the 23/24th this year too. At least the examiner will be in a hurry to go home. 🙂
officially the 20th dec through to the 7th jan
although im down for a trip to kuwait to help out manufacturing as soon as the stuff clears customs - be that as planned on the 16 or be it the 24th of december - not really that bothered tbh. Only thing xmas is that every other day isnt is a day where the roads are empty and no ones rushing to the office. Grand old day for a bike ride.
Just finished my last 12 hour night shift of the year. Back on the 2nd on dayshift. 😀
Moi, well it'll be the 19th through 6th for me...
I can't bloody wait, it's been yeeeeaaaaarrrrsss since I had a break at Xmas.
Planning The Ridgeway ride and a couple of bounces over the hills in the Tour route for next year..
Yeeeee haaaaa! 😀
Finish on the 20th back on the 6th 🙂
note to self - when using calander - change the year.
im back on the 6th not the 7th....
It's odd, started my own business so I can choose when to shut.
Reckon I'll shut the door Monday night (23rd) and open again Monday the 30th.
Will probably be my only time off until next Christmas.
I left school over 24 years ago off at Xmas is down to the shift patterns and luck. So far I'm off Xmas day but subject to 24 hours notice or less in extenuating circumstances.
Finish 3.30pm tomorrow (Thurs 12th), back in 2nd Jan.
Lots of leave to use up, due to not having kids, and covering pretty much the whole of the summer while everyone else was off...........
So I have to use my leave when the weather's cold & s**t.
not soon enough
20th-5th here.
I'll be open on the 21st, then back on the 7th. Deciding stuff like that is one of the fun things of being self-employed...
Finish 20th and come back 27th.....of January.
We've been told that we finish on Friday, back on the 6th Jan. I'd have taken some time off, but not three weeks. Not paid for it either, obviously 😐
[s]Deciding[/s]Having stuff like that decided for you is one of the ballache [s]fun[/s] things of being [s]self-employed[/s]freelance...
Finish on 20th back on the 20th Jan from main job, few days on other projects in Jan.
Just the bank holidays, finish at 5 on xmas eve - although we are allowed to work from home that day, which is as close to a christmas bonus as I'm getting. 🙂
Finished on the 20th (at lunchtime) and back on the 6th. For the first time in 11 years, I don't have coursework to be marked and ready to send to the exam board in January*, so I have relatively little work to do while I'm 'off' work.
* the only positive effect of the coalition's education policy changes
I'm in up to the 23rd then off til the 3rd. But we'll be pretty wound down for the week before, good time to catch up.
Oh and I'm wfh this week and I'm hoping I can swing it for next week too - that'll be merry christmas 🙂
Working 11:30am - 6:30pm on Christmas day.
I have Christmas Day and New Years Day off. Joy.
In 10 years of work, I have never, ever had any "break-up-time" at Christmas. Hospitality, Retail, etc never do.
Not bitter at all, likes.
With so many people finishing work on here on the 20th and not back to the 6th it's going to be quiet on here.
Off Christmas Eve but working 06:00-16:30 both Christmas Day and Boxing Day
Just found out we're having a run around day on the 23rd now 🙄
However just confirmed off till mon 6 so that's nearly two weeks off!
Midnight on Christmas Eve, so long as the good folk of the region don't murder each other or otherwise die in a mysterious way.
No break up for Christmas for me and Christmas Day I have 15 hours of work.
Bahh humbug.
I finish Friday. Off until 6th Jan.
A far cry from how I grew up - work each night in the run up to Christmas, Christmas eve work till 1am, up at 6am Christmas Day to clear up and start cooking lunch for 100 or so people, a couple of hours sleep in the afternoon then 6pm - 12ish.
Finish on the 20th, back on the 2nd.
Hoping to get plenty of bike time in!
I'm self employed and it doesn't look like Ive got any more work after about the 18th December.
That will be perfect in my opinion, 18th it is.
off 25th and the 1st ..the joys of retail 🙄
Back in the UK on the 21st, working between Xmas and New Year, then off to Las Vegas for a conference on the 2nd. Trying to get a days biking booked in Bootleg Canyon on the 4th. That will be a good way to start the new year's riding.
Got Xmas day and Boxing Day off as long as people don't need parts for their boilers 😉
Break up a week on Friday, back on the 30th for the 2 busiest days of the year 🙁
Can't wait...
Only got Xmas Day off.
Doing double the work every other day for the fortnight.
Finish up at 11 on 20th, back in for stocktake 30th & 31st (but get 4 days annual leave back for this which is a great deal) and back proper on the 2nd unfortunately...
About 4 ish on the 18th, couple of the last remaining hols to use 🙂
Return on the 2nd 🙁
Finished yesterday as we completed on a house today so lots of other work to do. Sat in our rented place waiting for the keys still as our vendor appears to have decided to move himself with a transit. Very frustrating but could be worse, we could be sat in a van outside the new house.
Anyway, back in on 23rd/24th and then off til New Year!
Lightweights 😉
Working everyday from now to the 27th inc xmas eve, xmas day & boxing day
I have numerous deadlines piling up for 24th and i expect more to flood in, do I suspect 9pm on the 24th, if I'm lucky . The joy of no trains / drunks on the way home.
This Friday finish work but then taking a group from work MTBing for a week in N Wales which I don't really class as work.. Back on the 6th Jan
Coopersport that's a result! What is your actual job, i take it its not in IT
shipped the last of the prototypes for this year today so can stop now really but it seems a bit early so may get a few things sorted ready for next year and maybe even get a bit of shopping in!!!
Not sure when we will finish .... or if we will go back !
The retail company I have worked 27 years in IT for is in administration for the third time in four years and it looks like this is the end of the road.
All the Head Office and Warehouse staff are slowly being made redundant ...... I'm still there at the moment ....... but for how long !?!?
Last day is this Friday, back in on the 6th, one design document to finish off, get a pilot working on another project before it shuts down for Xmas, type up my handover doc and currently a grand total of one email in my Inbox.
Christmas eve
Off from the 18th to the 2nd, three days work then off to Vegas from 8th - 12th inclusive 8)
I'm sorry could you re phrase the question?
I broke up for Xmas 2013 on December 26th last year - early retirement at taxpayers' expense. Thank you to all contributors 🙂
18th-2nd - its why i like Christmas.
Supposed to be shutdown from Christmas Eve to Jan 2nd but the firm I contract to need me to monitor some work on Boxing Day and the 28th. As Mrs Pingu is working all day Boxing Day and I will get paid for doing not a lot and having my phone on as well as the venue being a football ground and my team playing I jumped at the chance.
