Staying away from the usual, I watched an old episode yesterday morning on Dave - 2005, the Isle of Man/Trevor Eve one.
It was good - they treated the audience as adults, it was fun and still pretty fresh.
I went off it and stopped watching regularly halfway through the next series, as it had started to become too much of a self parody.
I'd never been able to stand JC & and I quite enjoyed seeing how many golf bags Chris Goffey could fit into a Citroen.
🙂
I catch the odd episode now and again, if it sounds half decent, but I can't believe how bad it's become.
I apologise for the serious content of this post.
I can't wait to hear some jokes about Hammond's height.
Maybe they'll joke about each others distended stomachs that makes them look like they are smuggling a Turkey roast under a table cloth? 😆
There's a very nice Pinarello 🙂
Is it to early for the [s]self proclaimed[/s] "Big hitters" to complain yet?
Well that explains why froomy did so well, his bike only weights 860g... 🙄
Hamster down
😆
Oooops!
Teetosugars the bighitters/attention seekers will be along shortly to tell you how much they are offended 🙂
How do the tax payers feel about paying for a £400 rear mech?
that looked like it probably really hurt!
No spare rear mech hanger?
Amateur
Not hopping the track, school boy error!
My long dead Granny god bless her could have advised on on crossing tram tracks. Mind her advice would be based on the experience of losing her teeth due to a tram track, cobble interface.
Nice squirrel.
Stig's looking skinny - drug problem?

Common don't you know that Top Gear pays for the whole of the BBC!
What's the pin badge they're all wearing?
Chilean flag?
That'll be it - cheers 🙂

Yeah I'm sure Pinarello will charge them for it.
Erm, spoilers !!
😆
Erm, spoilers !!
Probably best not to read the TG thread then!
Top Gear? I thought this was the Call the Midwife thread?
I've just spotted that they're also showing Top Gear on Yesterday at the moment...
Good vocab from the hamster!
It's globally, simultaneously broadcast apparently.
He seemed disappointed in the VW Van driver.
What were the flag pins supposed to represent?
I think that Chileans helped them escape when it all went pear shaped in Argentina.
What were the flag pins supposed to represent?
What Harry said.
I liked Hammond's choice of expletives.
the rest was the same old shit they trot out every other show.
and the script about the Lambos was exactly the same one they used for the Gallardo 10 years ago...
The race finish was bloody close wasn't it!! 😯
EDIT: No cool wall though. 🙁
No Flashy, that looks like a real one. (Or possibly it's a gerbil, or some such similar thing.)
EDIT: Did you enjoy the show by the way? I imagine it's right up your street.
That's a really small truck. ^^^
That lambo did look bloody quick and capable of silly levels of control.
Liked hammonds description of the old gearbox.
St Petersburg looked quite tame compared to what I was expecting from you tube dashcam footage.
That's a really small truck. ^^^
No Dougal, its just far away 😀
Ah roight.
Is Stig that big? (I liked what they did with him on the show. Some really unexpected comedy moments while he used the underground. Loved it. 😀 )
Always amazes me a program aimed at middle-aged middle-England middle class whiny cockbags is so popular on STW. Can't think why.
One out of three. I'm middle-aged. Fail.
As usual, I did the suspension of disbelief thing and enjoyed the fun. Loved the Stig, some neat comedy moments there.
Can't agree with Hamster/Clarkson vis the Lambo; that's a really beautiful car, and I really love the Ariel Nomad, so want one of those!
Hamster's crash must have hurt, I'd hate to try riding anywhere with tramlines, and Clarkson trying to drive/fly a hovercraft was comedy gold!
as hammond kind of admitted in the lambo film, modern cars are all going to start feeling anodyne because the build standards are constantly improving and even the likes of a 911 can do 180mph, so it's so far away from the limit that it will feel safe
As soon as the star in a reasonably priced car bit came on I switched over (like I usually do) and totally forgot to switch back 😳
I did like the bit about the saddle pressure though. A painful truth for alot of cyclists I bet.

not all of us suffer ED, right at this moment I have the strangest...
Wiv regards to ED its not like you get to use it when your in your 40's anyway 🙁
Not wanting to take this OT but I had ED throughout my racing career back in my early 20's (sometime ago now) not really much fun TBH.
Anyhoos I enjoyed TG, would have preferred Hamster winning on the 'rello but hey. Shame he wasn't kitted out in SkY /Rapha kit either 😆
True. I've traded mine in for some Top Gear dad's.its not like you get to use it when your in your 40's anyway
@bb,
Maybe he was a bit slower on that other bike. Thought it was great how he came across those guys who let him borrow their bike. Totally unexpected and added a real twist to the race. It was still good how he nearly made it though.
Nothing much new except maybe JC admitting that RH was correct with his verdict on the Lambo, but an enjoyable hour's watching nonetheless.
Who's downloaded 'Come Up And See Me (Make Me Smile)' yet?
its not like you get to use it when your in your 40's anyway
Speak for yourself. I'm getting in more now than before I became a Dad.

That sounds all kinds of wrong...
Gah. Should say dvd, not dad. Effing predictive text

Transfixed by a nice pussy? That's not comedy its an everyday occurrence on the Tube.
So I'm told.
I howled when he was looking at the books in the shop. And the way he used the pedestrian crossings. I was doubled over. Don't get me started on JC's hovercraft driving. I mean, have you ever seen anything quite as funny as that? I reckon he hadn't been given any practice and they just let him off at it. Best Sunday evening tv in years. 😀
😆 it does abitThat sounds all kinds of wrong...

Staged obviously, and therefore there goes the humour.

You do realise that it's a TV don't you, not a window.
Everything on it is "staged" one way or another
(Even the News, if you believe JHJ 😉 )
"Standup comedy can **** off as well, it's all staged !!1!"
even deadlydarcy's comments are scripted!
Even MrsBouy cracked a smile at the last shot of the Stig head banging the iron fence whilst looking longingly at a Porker RS in a Dealership..
😆
We're all watching it now, yes? 😀
The ambulance thing has just had me laughing
The speed humps vs Chevvy - genius....
Tears of laughter 😀
Indeed first time I have lolled at TG for a while, very funny
Continuity all over the shop...
Genuine lols here
*wonders which one drac liked the look of*
Just had high 5's with the 14yr old daughter on the realisation she likes Top Gear. Much to Mrs STR's disgruntlement 😀
Loved it.
LittleMissMC has been poorly on the sofa all day. Top Gear has had her laughing and giggling for the first time today. So I'm in!
Me and my 10 year old lad just been told off for laughing so loud it woke the little one up .. tears of funny 🙂
Liking the 'patient delivery systems'. And blood-soaked Clarkson eyeballing the todger. 🙂
Hmmm..
A lot of Programme on very little content this one.
Thought Danial Riccardo a thoroughly nice bloke though 8)
My throat hurts from laughing so much 😆
nice aim... thru the window
I must be getting old. I thought it was utter tripe tonight for some reason.
Funniest TG for a long time!!
