And no I don't want to burn it or paint it in any of those random ronseal colours. Any oil type recommendations?

I've just done mine today with Liberon oil, went for medium oak which has came out darker than I expected

Another massive vote for the Liberon deck oil. I stripped my decking last year after ten years of trying all sorts of different deck stains, all of which flaked and looked bad when over painted. The Liberon ended up cheaper than the stains, hardly any flakage, just dulled down over winter and crucially I repainted it last week and it looks good again. Ive used clear but it is more like tan. Don't know what it would be like over existing finishes though.

Came here for decking advert, was not disappointed.

Also came here for people pretending the decking advertisement is not related to OP, or, funny. Was similarly un-disappointed [appointed?!].

LOL

Also have a look at the Osmo range. All natural product and breathable. Doesn't say Enduro on the tin though.

I use the osmo oil range commercially, it's very very good. thompsons weather shield is also pretty good.

Why are you putting anything on the deck? Do you want to change the colour or is it because it's going green/slippy?
If it's the latter I use some stuff called Algon (other brands are easily available) which you just spray on and it gets rid of the green over the course of about a week.
Or is it for some preservation reason?

Its been down two years and yes it has gone green-slippy. However the jet wash sorted most of that yesterday. Just thought by oiling it it would breathe a bit of life back into it.

The secret to non slimey decking is lay it grooved side down.

Wood gone green and slimey? In Britain? What a surprise.

Just used Liberon on the new decking too. I did order the clear finish one but when I opened the tin it was one of the stain coloured ones, oak I think. Wrong label on the tin.....
