All the T5's I was looking at were coming in a little spendy for the spec I wanted, so......

I've put a (fully refundable) deposit on the other one from my earlier van thread.

One off custom pearlescent paint job, remapped to 180bhp, full leather heated seats, sat nav, camera, aircon, lane assist, cruise, Bluetooth, DAB etc

I might change my mind when I see it in the flesh

There's no way in hell I'd buy that (although I'd be popular with my kids) but I love the fact you have, good work! The colour is both utterly disgusting and completely awesome.

Oldest of my 3 is 6, I imagine a 13 year old girl being picked up from school in it would be mortified!

Maybe ask yourself why anyone would offer a refundable deposit?
Just what is in it for them?

Well the colour is bold.. rest looks good any reason for the remap? Planning on racing off the lights? Bit short of clearance too isn't it?

It's a medium sized outfit who customise vans - mainly T5's and offer it on all their vehicles

Well as a car dealer (nuts, just admitted to that) all I can say that as an honest dealership we refuse to take a refundable deposit unless the car/van is not as described, I don't see the point of letting someone reserve a vehicle with a get out if you could lose a buyer in the mean time.

Yeah but this is bright yellow, whats the chances of 2 mugs coming past in one week...
(It could also mean they have 5 of them ready to go and it only looked that yellow once it had dried)

Its a custon - check those alloy wheels and the tires are weight rated to the van. Look like stock st offerings to me in the photo- of course they may be vam rated st customs......but i didnt see them on the fordi options list when i looked at transit customs.

How ever i will say out of all the vans you posted that does look much better than the t5s you were looking at.

With the added safety bonus of being sunburst yellow!

Well you pointed out it'll carry bikes and bike gear so you get a big Yay from me, not sure why you need lane assist or a camera but he, I don't know how you drive 😆

You could turn up in a Ferrari and she'd still be mortified. You're her father, it comes with the territory.

Edit: nice van, though, love the colour. Not sure about the wheels+clearance, though, that could be a bit of a pain.

Could you face looking at that in the driveway every day?
I think Yellow will look good for about a week and then you'll end up hating it.

With that little clearance I'd have thought you could be struggling not to bottom out getting to the start of lots of the places I'd want to use it... The colour is truly amazing though.

Vans are the only vehicles that look cool with the Max Power/crashed into Halfords look, as it shows the owner has a great sense of humour 🙂

It's pearlescent paint, so looks better in the sun - the graphics will be coming off if I have it...

A white one would be faster. More seriously, I'lld be concerned about the colour limiting the re-sale potential in 2/3 years ?

Beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder.

I couldn't drive it - my Wife would kill me if I pulled up to the house with it.

You've GOT to get that Mustang to park next to it on the drive.

I nearly got my Focus in Tangerine Scream but I showed the wife a picture and she wanted me to keep the people carrier.

That and the potential torrent of abuse and dog poo through the letterbox from passtherizla convinced me to get it in black.

Love the Tangerine Scream colour.

I like it....
But....please don't drive it like most of the people I see in 'sports vans' who seem to think because they have alloys and some Ford Racing Stripes they can tailgate even closer and drive like absolute tools....

pedant mode - if you mean the car at the top of the page, it's a Chevy Camaro (it's even got the Autobot Transformers badge on the side.) Looks like it's stuck in front of a Transformers poster.
But yes, that would be great side by side.....

Ooooh, just remembered.....this is a bright yellow Mustang (parked at a 'bikers caf' near our house a while back).

Can't link to it direct as on an ancient work browser that Flickr doesn't like so can't get the share options up....

haha it'd be ok on a bike but not on a car. colours like that should be reserved for things that are actually fast like 1000cc GSXR's and other such cool things.

I can see you like it otherwise you would not have bought it.
I on the other hand think it's the most hideous looking van I have ever seen.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Good luck with selling it on in a few years time.

Buy it! Much more interesting than all the generic boring grey/slver boxes that so many unimaginative people seem to go for. "Oh I'll just buy a grey Mondeo, it's a practical car with good fuel cnsuption blah blah drone drone'. Get back to building your scale model of Slough town hall out of matcsticks you boring ****s.

Good luck with selling it on in a few years time.

It's only a ****ing van. Enjpy the Now.

I have a grey (Silver Mondeo), I also do DH, Motorbike racing, trackdays and spend hours at Trailcentres. Having a grey Mondeo doesn't make you dull..

being a complete muppet though... well... that's your job 🙂

Ooh touchy. 😆

Still doesn't mean you're not a boring person. Nigel Mansell was an F1 world champion, and he was the most boring **** on earth.

Can't stand this particularly British malaise of wanting to blend in with everyone else, and not stand out at all. Why not enjoy having a bright, colourful car? I grew up in the 70s when cars were Yellow, orange, purple, turquiose etc. And beige. Guess what typese drove the beige motors?

Well it's certainly a marmite vehicle. Personally I'm not a fan (or of van's a MPV) but I can see why you might like it. Hopefully it will be good for you.

Out of interest how much do all the mods cost extra on insurance cover? I hope you bought it for keeps as the colour will restrict any resale value, having said that I like it, if you're going to have a customised van go the whole way!
Wondered if I could do the same to my vauxhall combo 1.3cdti for less than £20k 😆
