Yeah, it's great - really enjoying seeing what Stephen Fry, Tony Hawks, Hans Rey etc. get up to.

Yes it is quite addictive. I can also recommend following http://twitter.com/bobbyllew (Robert Llewellyn / AKA Kryten from Red Dwarf)

Yep, registered last year, used it twice and then forgot about it. Started posting the odd tweet now and again now though.

Do people not end up spending so much time logging what they're doing that they don't actually get to do anything of interest?

I signed up hoping for free stuff, though if my name came out of the hat poor Mark would vomit 🙁

I'm not sure what twitter is FOR though... it seems to be barren of content 🙁

Been on it a few weeks but dont 'tweet' much. I do find Brants posts funny/interesting but can't work out if he is bored, very random or just a bit mad

simon - google are apparently interesed in buying it to use it as real-time search. Good for brands/politicians/researchers to get a snapshot of what is being said at any time.

I twit but no-one reads it, more like a quack in that it doesn't echo

Been on for a little while, chatting about my photography, work for mags, Vancouver and my complete inability to decide on what car to buy:

I'm on there as miketually.

I like it, though I can only get on it on my home computer at the moment, so tend to update over an evening after spending ages reading 20-odd hours worth of tweets.

I don't know how I got by when I didn't know that Dan Barnham's computer was making a funny noise or Brant's bog has disgraced itself 🙂

Yes. It's pish.
But better than staring into space when on a phonce conference, for example.
Really informative if you find a newsfeed you like, and it showed up insider info during the TDu and ToC.

It is also interesting to use something like http://www.tweetgrid.com/ where any term can be searched and listed in realtime. (Try your hometown, a news event or a sports match during the game for example)

Sweet. Just need to find a way of reading all my follows now, without adding them all to Reader individually.

Edit: Turns out Tweetgrid does that too.

Forgot to ask - how did the trade in go?

Day 1 - $2500, absolutely no way they can go higher
Day 2 - $3000, absolutely no way they can go higher

Going back today for $3500, at that rate I reckon by the end of the month I'll be able to afford two cars 😉
