Hi
I won't to take the wife away for a weekend in The snowdonia region
Please recommend somewhere to stay , not bothered about cycling anywhere
just going walking
Somewhere above or near a pub would be great
Gonna probably stay 2 nights so a choice of places to eat within walking distance would be great

Oakley Arms Hotel we have used. It's OK not great, we where on a lads walking trip (Snowdon etc) maybe you want njcer with the Mrs. Pub did a decent enough bar menu. Nothing mich around there thouh. Check reviews as it was a while ago we stayed there.

Used to frequent it years back when it was more walker oriented before it went all up market gastro pub. Foods still good mind.
We stayed here a few years back, great place, friendly owners who were experienced and knowledgeable about routes etc. As and when I go back it would be the top of my list.

Nice hotel but maybe a bit isolated in you both drink.
Ty Dre town house in Caernarfon if you want to be close to lots of pubs
we stayed at the saracens head in Bedgellert. Nice and close for Snowdon itself as well as plenty of walking right from the door. Rooms were lovely and the food was really nice with quirky but good customer service.
