Myself and 4 other ridings friends are looking to travel to North Wales end of summer (sept 7th onwards) for a week of riding.
Any recommended accommodation from anyone on here? Looking to be based centrally for getting to antur, revolution, dyfi (maybe), Snowdon, coed y brenin etc.
Something cheap and cheerful-ish because despite my mates riding top of the range Santa Cruz bikes apparently they can only afford a bag of nuts and a windmill towards somewhere to stay. 🤣

Doubt you will get in (as they are always full) old Skool bunk house which is 10 minutes from Coedy. It’s like staying with your Nans (though I have never stayed at your nans to compare).

Ranger Youth hostel can’t get much cheaper than that. You can book a room with two bunks or other combinations so no need to share with strangers.

Can ride up from the door in the morning up rangers off to do telegraph valley, then up snows on and back down full rangers which gets decent again towards the bottom. Good way of breaking up the slog of a climb.

Bad point is the bike storage is just a unsecured area out of the back with a lean over, we kept the bikes in the car and parked on the road more or less overlooked by our room

I've stayed in Betws Y Coed (between Snowdon, Coed y Brenin, Antur Stiniog and you can ride the Marin trails from the door) here...

...a few times and its been spot on - just bunk beds, decent big shared showers etc and a boiling hot extremely stinky but very useful drying room.

Its about as cheap and cheerful as you can get and perfect for when you just need to get out of dirty kit, get showered and washed, go to the pub for tea and then sleep.

You also have full use of the hotel bar etc, at £19 per night. I just take my bike into my room.
