How does one service a snowboard?
Give it a bit of spit and polish? Jobs a 'guddun.
When I was into snowboarding I bought a waxing iron and the wax to do it myself for less than it used to cost for a shop to do it, its really not a hard thing to do and I'd guess there'll be guides on YouTube these days. My 1st attempt was a better job than I'd paid for beforehand
I generally do my own but if I run out of time, Robin Hood Watersports near Birstall certainly used to do it.
Just get it done in the resort. Much easier. Job for arrival day along with any kit hire for others and buying lift passes.
Subvert at the Chill Factore do servicing.
Failing that drop it off in resort when you arrive, usually ready for 8am in the morning. In Austria it’s €25 for a wax/edge the place I use.
TSA at Xscape Castleford, or you could check out if they do it at the dry ski slope in Halifax. There used to be a snowboard shop on Claremont Road not far from the ski slope but no idea of it's still there or not.
It'll be cheaper in resort than a place over here. You should def learn to do it your self though, it's dead easy.

We get our skis serviced there. Nice straight talking proper Yorkshire folk.
As above, applying wax is cheap and easy to do with a little travel iron, some wax and a scraper. If you need the edges doing, I would just leave it somewhere overnight in resort.
Alpine rivington in chorley
If you learn to do the waxing yourself (which is very straight forward, and as said, a travel iron is perfect), you'll do a better job than most of the quick waxes you get done by shops. Edges are a little more difficult (conventional, straight edge), but worth doing yourself too. You can get kits with sharpener, wax, scraper+structuring brush. Good investment
As others have said, just do it yourself, it's dead easy once you have the kit - ours get a storage wax after every trip and then the next year I just scrape and brush them. If the edges get really bad they get done in resort, but it's pretty hard to mess them up that badly when we're just riding one week a year!
Yeah, waxing seems easy enough. It’s more the edges that are feeling a little rough in places, as it’s been a few years and several trips. Thanks all.
@cheekysprocket - I had a proper wipe-out a couple of years ago and BAC fixed the ski edges for me during the service
Surprised by the number of people confusing/ equating waxing with servicing.
Sounds like the OP only wants a wax and edge though.
I don't think the full shop service is needed for most people who only get away one a year for a week. Maybe every few years if the base is getting a bit battered. I still do it all myself anyway.
