Snowing at Nant-yr-arian today. Rode up and did two laps of the Summit Trail and it was constantly snowing on the top sections. So Mark of Zorro and bottom of legburner clear. Rest up to 3 inches of snow, very picturesque and due to my phone turning off all the time no photos :(.

Currently in Derby en route to Cardiff. Snowing lightly here with a smattering on the ground, will let you know how it progresses 🙂

Settling a bit just outside Darlington - going to the quiz at the Travellers in Cockerton later. Could be interesting getting home.

Smattering on the ground from this morning, but nothing falling at the mo.
Trouble is,I'm right in the middle of that bloody red warning for the South Wales valleys and to top it all,I'm supposed to be working down Brecon tomorrow which is a red warning area as well.
I think I may have an impromptu glass of red later and say pooh to work tomorrow.

update from Baildon. still snowing gently but doesn't seem to have settled any more since my earlier note.
Let's see what the morning brings, don't fancy a 60mile round trip to work & back, would much rather work from home & get an extra 90mins in bed.

Had no problem getting to pub last night on my bike. 6 miles apart from 300 yards on a ice free A road, the rest frozen solid rural back roads. Only thing I was scared of was the cars. About 6 passed me (ignoring A road) and 1 on the way back. Got off the road to be on safe side. The benefit of ice tyres. The only time I come of is when I stop and put my foot down and fall over. Think I need something for my feet. PS Linconshire Wolds.
PPS Tyres grip on very steep hills, Although it is short the road out of my village is monster steep and exceptionaly icy. Cars regularly run through a neighbours hedge at the bottom of the hill.
They are Swalbe ice tyres.

-11 last night horrible in my house as the boiler is in the attic and comes on when the tempreture in the boiler drops below +5 but only goes round the system once. Bloody roasting will have to put a lower tog on the bed.

Live up a hill in the red warning area and work even higher up one in it. Snow subsided a bit this afternoon. All this red warning fuss, it'll probably be gone in the morning.

Famous last words,

I'm using reverse psychology on the weather (secretly hoping for a monster storm and 3' of snow so I can finally use the workshop and it's secret under ground tunnel network as the nuclear winter survival shelter that it was designed to be).

Very, very cold on the north kent coast. An ice grey sea and bitter winds whipping inland. Doubt we'll get much snow before lunchtime tomorrow but when it falls its scheduled to fall for nearly 48hours.

My kids (and me) can't wait!

I do hope so. You must have been so pissed when those Mayans let you down, with their piss poor prophecy. Hopefully you will still get some apocalyptic use out of El Bunker.

Cold rain here in the bit of Cheshire that shoves the Wirral out into the Irish sea.

Just gently drifting down in Matlock, been persistent since mid afternoon and lovely fluffy stuff. Just in case it gets heavier tomorrow it has actually got me onto my bike for the first commute of the year. Should be a giggle in soft fresh snow before most of the traffic arrives 🙂

Drove to that there London this morning for two day meeting. Day two cancelled due to weather so we could all get safely home. Snow from Oxford to Knutsford, some getting heavy. Long day and a few nutters still about. Think it will be nasty tomorrow though.
