well i think the town RAF Brize Norton is in is called Carterton??

any way is there any snow and are there any planes landing there??

i have a few mates leaving tonight (from the falklands) and just wanted a quick update.

I live about 15 miles away and we have a small spattering so I imagine it is the same. Don't know if planes are flying but there isn't much snow here (or there!).

Hardly any snow here although not heard any planes in the last hour

As of 7:50pm moderate wind from the east with clear skies and nothing special going on. Temperature -2. No idea whether the runway is open, but don't see any reason for it not to be from this weather.

Errm, I live 3 miles away, and I'm about to drive through the village of Brize Norton to visit a mate. No snow at the moment, but can update you after a driven past the base.

The met office uses the weather station at Brize so you can get info off the BBC website too.
