I was the only one at Rothley Crag today, bouldering in a t-shirt, in flurries of snow. It was very strange.

Rothley Crag
as in the one just North of Newcastle. It was really nice in Stamfordham. I was racing in the sunshine!

The very same. It was beautiful when the sun was out and then every half hour or so there was 5 mins of snow or hail as a cloud went over and then back to summer.

17th May 1955, most of England and Wales had several hours of the stuff. We're not there yet!

Fresh there then. I was supposed to be heading up there this weekend but moved the plans for my daughters birthday to Saturday so had to cancel. A friend has a house there so we were heading up for the whisky festival.

I cycled to work this morning in shorts and a t-shirt with beautiful sunny weather, came home this afternoon in a mini blizzard and chuffing freezing conditions with minimal visibility, 1hr later the sun was out and the birds were singing.

ne'er cast a clout till may be oot - wise words indeed, glad i had packed my jacket and waterproof trousers for the homeward journey.

Not really. May has been out for a couple of weeks now.
