If a pool table is the shape of an ellipse, then a ball shot from one focus will always rebound to the other focus no matter in which direction the ball is shot.

Haven't seen for years - decades in fact - and I used to love

Round table = huge footprint, bar billiards is played from end of the table so much smaller footprint.
Looks good though.

There's a pub in Gorton with an L shaped pool table - not that I went near it on the few occasions I went in there....

I loved the circular ones that you could rotate so they could stick them in a corner. As soon as you started to turn it the balls started moving...
