Has anyone got any experience of smoke restoration companies?
We had a small plastic fire in an outbuilding and apparently the restoration company is going to take away all the stuff and clean it?
It is mainly tools and parts - I am a bit concerned with the comment from the loss adjustor that if it is not cost effective to clean it will be disposed of and replaced.
I think I would prefer to give my tools a wipe over with brake cleaner rather than let someone else decide to dispose of them, probably on ebay. They were in a tool chest, but soot has got into the gaps of the drawers but they still work fine and have been collected over 20 years.
