Anyone know?

Chrome on fully updated Windows 10.

Can post them via my mobile keyboard, but not on the laptop.

I suspect they're an artifact of the keyboard software, not the operating system.

They used to be in the grey box above the text entry bit.

Right-click on the Taskbar, tick the "show touch keyboard button."

Select the keyboard button.

Click the smiley next to the space bar.

All of the emoji, systemwide.

Shortcut is windows key and colon. (Might be semi-colon if colon doesn't work)

What are the Mac OS equivalents? The TinyMCE editor doesn't play nice with any existing norms.

Mac OS?

Position the cursor in any text field you'd like to insert an emoji, like posting a tweet for example. Use the keyboard shortcut Command - Control - Spacebar to access emoji.

👍

Oh, nice. I'm a keyboard shortcut junkie and I did not know that.

Ahh yes got it, much simpler than having them where they were before the 'upgrade'

Not.

Still, at least I don't have to open a new tab to find the Wordpress site & look on there. 😉
