My walking shoes have a bit of a whiff, what's the best thing to do or use to sort them out, any suggestions?
Lots of DIY solutions online, but do any of them work?
My feet are fine, I always dry the shoes outside after using them etc. I have just ordered some new insoles too.
They smell because they get wet, then don't dry quickly enough, which gives the bacteria which cause the whiff time to grow in that nice damp environment.
So, you need to dry them more quickly, which ideally means heat and/or breeze, ideally both. Outside is fine if it's covered, have you tried stuffing them with newspaper to draw the moisture out more quickly?
Or, get a show dryer. We've got a MaxxDry after a recommendation on here, works well with MrsIHN's previously minging running shoes.
