If I want to use a UK based website that asks for my phone number then rejects it! What should I do? Walk away from the site happy that they don't want my business? Give a false number?
The clue is in the WWW, as in World Wide Web!
Idiots!

Likewise websites that insist in asking what (two-letter) state you are in despite the fact you have said United Kingdom on the form.

Have you tried giving it your number in international form: prefix with +44 and drop the leading zero?

I dont have a landline at home (well there is a number for the broadband but no idea what it is). Any website that requires a landline number doesnt get my business.

It was the international code and/or the 9 figure number that gave it away...
So I googled a shop and gave them that number! 😈
