Currently halfway through a self build house and looking at the various heating controls.
Spec is ground floor wet underfloor heating 4 zones, 4kw log burner, first floor 4 beds, bathroom and 1 ensuite, second floor/loft 1 bed and a bathroom.
There is a ridiculous amount of insulation fitted (150mm king span in the loft) and wasn't that bothered about fitting heating upstairs, but the wife is insisting on it.
Im looking at 6 rads/1st floor and 2 in the loft. I'd like to have each rad controlled separately, (not on tvr's) and the thermostat be suitable for use in the bathroom.
Any recommendations.
Have a look at the Honeywell smart control system
I've got terrier itemp programmable valves fitted to all my rads. You can set room temperature and times for each rad then. They also do a remote which you can link upto lots of the rads if you want to quickly override the programs, Eg to boost temp up.
Conrad electrical do similar valves which can also be connected to a central controller. This isn't compatible with my itemp valves but if I was starting again now I'd look at that.
The valves do make a slight whirring noise when they open or close bit we've got one in the bedroom and not really noticeable. Sometimes in bed before you go to sleep you hear it but you just think a aah valves working nicely and saving my heating bills! They don't wake you up when asleep
Cheers. I've been investigating the evo stuff, also the heatmiser neo stuff.

Have you been to visit anyone with similar house in thermal performance terms? I would do - you may well have a few folk persuading her not to...
I (and likely you) are thinking that with the right spec, installing heating upstairs is a waste of every penny you spend on it.
We once had someone phone up and complain - she had installed a turbo and rowing machine in spare room - and a proper workout meant that the ventilation struggled to keep the room temp down within range...she was getting waaay to hot!
If building from scratch go for Evohome and multiple zones valves.
We currently live in an old property and the heating upstairs if off all year apart from the bathroom.
She won't budge on it, so it's got to go in.
