Finishing a cold night shift and climbing into a warm bed just as everybody else is getting ready to go outside and scrape ice off the cars before heading off on their morning commute.

Some great suggestions on here! Mine would have to be listening to waves crashing on a beach while you lie under canvas, knowing that tomorrow will be another fine day with no work to worry about, only the size of the swell or which trails you'll be riding!

Putting on dry trousers after a wet commute and warm shower, and the smug feeling that your colleagues are all soaked having not cycled in.

Watching the dog chase around with his two lurcher "mates". Bloody hell they're fast.
My granddaughters first go on her Islabike Rohan.
Her face on Christmas day.
A dry trail (roll on spring).

Yesterday, walking back to Avebury along the Herepath, just crossing the Ridgeway, and I see a red kite, and at the same time a short-eared owl hawking across the field in the sunshine, then as I'm taking my boots off in the car park at the pub, see a rather soggy folded fiver lying on the ground by my car. A good afternoon, brought a smile to my face.

Caught in the mother of all traffic jams yesterday (2hrs to get out if a car park) and the people who looked like they were most likely to be pushy (bmw's and young guys in small flash cars) were actually the best behaved in terms of letting people in. Gave me a huge smile

Learning something, no matter how small, ideally from a stranger.

And the way my girlfriend arches her back just 'so' without even realising she does it.

Any tips? Seriously?

Waking up every morning knowing I have retired.
Shutting the door on my Golf R32, turning the ignition key and then rumbling off down the road, that car makes me smile every time I drive her (FloJo).
The greeting smile and 'hello pappy' from my grandaughter as she runs up to me.
Nailing a sweet section of any trail on a bike!

That good tired feeling you get driving home from an awesome day of riding.
The first chairlift up in the morning.
Being woken up by sunlight or the sound of someone mowing the lawn in the summer.
Getting a text from a nice girl that's just something simple like morning or hi
Or a textbook good fart like what Binners described.

I'm watching 3 of my 4 kids playing in our pool. That's quiet nice.

Even better the 4th and youngest one is having his lunchtime nap!

Watching Danny Hart's world cup winning run at champery on youtube and hearing Rob Warner describe Gee's run as "uglier than a bag of mashed up arseholes" 😆

Was in MediaMarkt yesterday and they suddenly had a whole section of vinyl LPs again. I've no idea where that suddenly came from but it was a great moment and kept me happy all afternoon

When the commentator on 5 live welcomes listeners from the BBC World Service. I like that.
