.when you're sat in traffic and a car comes past the other way with the occupant clearly singing and enjoying it.

.when a car lets you through and you wave and get a big smile in return. 😃

This little monster. 6kg of mental Pomeranian. Pic taken in one of the brief moments when she’s not rushing about getting into everything at 100mph.

When a shuffled set of tunes on the commute playlist hit the perfect BMP for the ride.
The wee kids on their way to school with a parent that wave and shout "Bike" when I go past.
Hearing Mrs FH in another room,on the phone to her sister.
They spend more than half the call laughing like loons.
Our cat asleep.

Nelson, my cat, who jumps on my desk while I'm working and sits by the side of my keyboard, purring. 😀

He's been here for a while this morning and has just slinked off upstairs for a kip

That being associated with a fart

And the word for fart being plastered on a Chicago tower block in 30 foot high letters.

My toddler telling me (in toddler language) about what she's dreamt about when I go and get her our of bed in the morning. Its usually a weird hybrid of things she's done over the last week/month, a cartoon she's watched, and a book we've read to her the night before.

And a dinosaur - there is usually something about a dinosaur 🦖

If you turn a picture of a (classic) Imperial Stormtrooper's helmet upside down it depicts a smiling koala.

Cracking a quality fart.

A pine forest on a cold winters day.
A pine forest on a hot summers day.
A pine forest on a wet day...
(repeat)

That first blast of hot sunshine on your face.

The feeling of a sailing boat or canoe accelerating off under you.

The air past your face when cycling.

Getting away with a front wheel (or rear wheel) slide when really pushing on.

Getting up this morning to find my 7yr old son has washed the pots for me, granted he has has used cold water, no fairy and some of them still appear to be dirty but its the thought that counts.

The fact that every time i tickle my daughter she lets rip and the laugh when she said "daddy, you know my tickle circuit is connected to my trump circuit!"

Then when another pheasant decided that it didn't need its wings and that it could out jog the car by running in front down the road, her saying "daddy, are pheasants as stupid as Americans".

9 years old and cracks me up daily.

Auty

My youngest. She’s tiny for her age and always happy. Love her brother too, but he’s not really little any more.

That lovely slug of cold water at the top of a nice hill. It’s like a good lungful of fresh air.

That blue sky I can see outside.
And that I managed to complete an offroad run in daylight after work yesterday for the first time since the clocks changed in October.

Getting some air coming off one particular bit of cycle track in the mornings, always a good sign.

My dogs greeting me when I get home.

Being first out of the door at altitude. Just standing at it is like having a mental cold shower... Everything but the moment disappears. Love that feeling.

Girlfriend makes me smile. She is small, well, shorter than me anyway.

When I saw this thread that's exactly what I thought of.  So many people seem lost in their heads or their phones that human connection feels fab

and

- a beer at just the right temperature

- when someone brings you a tasty treat you weren't expecting.

Getting home after a really crap day at work (that'll be most of them at eh moment), to be greeted by Rolo & Daisy going absolutely mental because I've just got home. Always puts a smile on my face and lifts my heart.

Before anyone asks, they're dogs not kids.

Kids on bikes.
Even those kids wheelying down the wrong side of the road in the morning in the bus lane.
Even that massive group of kids in town. Then one of them egged my car. Little bastard. 😆
