I want a pitched roof over the bay window and front door at the front of the house. Im a fairly competent diyer but is this a professional builders job?
Would need to be about 4ft out to clear the bay window.
Any advice would be appreciated

if you know your fixings, flashings, pointing, membranes, battens and hip ridges then not too tricky.

Straight or angled, how yougoingto flash it, what's supporting it? Should be diyable, I extended a single garage and reroofed both old and new without previous experience, just need to think it through properly.
