I'm looking for a small CD player with built in speaker for daughter's room.

Doesn't matter if it's also got a radio or not.

Size is the top priority, then nice-to-have-but-not-essential would be built in rechargeable battery so it's portable.

Searches so far throw up the modern equivalent of boom boxes,  or bookshelf systems like the Pure Classic C-D6

Price wise don't want we could push it as far as 200 but no more (she got a generous gift from granny)

Would welcome any suggestions that fit the bill, or alternatives that I haven't thought of.

THANKS,  J

If you want battery powered and a built in CD player, then your basically looking at a modern boom box type thing... does it really need to be portable?

Pure make an all in one. I had a Chronos by the bed. Small but not battery operated. Cd players take a lot of juice.

We got a boombox for one of the kids from Currys for playing CDs etc. Works fine and also works as a Bluetooth speaker so still useful now that they've acquired phones.

Like this one but blue:

What you want there is a Bluetooth speaker and a Spotify subscription.

I have a Pure Chronos CD which I could be tempted to part with for a sensible offer.  Ticks all your boxes aside from battery which is a pipe-dream unless you're going to buy a Discman.  It was pushing £200 when I bought it and it's barely been used.
