Coleman Tent Coastline 4 deluxe ?

This the type of style you're after ?. I like this design myself, not tried one though.

I have one of the below that I was going to put up for sale at Easter. It may be a little big for your needs?
Tent, footprint, carpet and some pole spares.
It is the same as the Outwell Nevada 4 man tents but different colour
It is a very nice porch to sit in with loads of windows.

Outwell Coral

How big does the porch need to be?

Could you do 2x two person tents - more flexible in future.?

Off-site but summer only - or do you want some weather resistance?

Edit: budget?

I have a bergans wiglo 4lt. Not ultra lightweight but good in bad weather and spacious enough for 4. Kids will be able to stand and it vents well through the central pole vent.

Thats a good idea, two man and porch = four man, or maybe three

bergans wiglo looks nice, other cool makes for me to look at might be a plan? budget, not sure yet. For the right tent i can push it up. Weather, it would be nice to get something capable of some rubbish weather so we can do some cool stuff in the future

Depending on age of kids:

Younger/want them in with you:
https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/3-season-4-person-tunnel-tent-grey-orange/_/R-p-311208?mc=8556124
(I've not seen one, but typical Decathlon and it will be great)

We've one of these, you would squeeze 1 adult and 3 kids in, or one draws short straw and kips in entrance:

Or for older, maybe DofE or heading off for themselves in mind:

Thats a good idea, two man and porch

Two twos and a tarp rigged up between.

Have a look online at the Quechua tents at Decathlon mate.

I can't say if one will sit your personal needs but they are fantastic tents and a good place to start looking.👍

I came here to say Hilleberg. Outwell and Quechua are middle market car camping tents to me.

The only thing I will say is Hilleberg GT is not small and bijoux. It is +5kg and built to stand artic winds as you trek to the pole.

Nallo 4 model (basic not GT) would keep you safe in most European weather and is 2kg lighter. (I have a Nallo 3 in my tent quiver and its a great tent)
