I find the humble plunger to be most effective 🙂
Get medieval with it on the bath plughole.
Plunger every time.
Question is, have they ever drained quickly?
Worked in a house just had a new bathroom fitted , and floor tiles, bit of dust in bath, turned on tap to wash away sawdust, water refused to drain ran to back of bath, went outside big hole in wall for drain, and numpty plumber had put the drain facing downwards towards the bath.
As for a blockage, lift manhole i garden and check if blocked, try plunger, but put wet cloth over bath overflow, as when you plunge, all the crap will be ejected through overflow, much hilarity when seen others do this.
Also a coat hanger bent with a small hook shove down plughole, and fish for hair etc, also remove trap from under wash basin, but as the bath is slow moving probably further down the pipe.
i found an (ex) mouse next in my outside drops (septic tank system) while drain rodding from the outside in.
it fair let go when i disturbed it and all the rotted mice came out.
Buy a tub of "One Shot" from B&Q.
It smokes when poured down the plug, smells terrible but clears EVERYTHING.
Really nasty stuff.

Does anyone in the household have long hair? That's what usually blocks our shower.
I can summon revolting things from the plug hole using a wooden chop stick. Split it at the thin end with a sharp knife, stick it down the drain, and spin it around a few times. You may gag slightly at the results.
I put some Domestos sink & drain unblocker down there and it seems to have done the trick.
Yes, the issue only started when my long haired girlfriend came on the scene 💡
The only thing stronger is a nuclear bomb. Shifts ANYTHING stuck down that pipe.
Trust me.

sodium hydroxide - best thing for hair-related blockages
conc. sulphuric acid for the rest
Used a turbo snake down the shower hole- wow the shite that came up( hair) was unbelievable
Slight hijack....My utility room has developed a really smelly sink, smells like bad damp. I have a washing machine outlet joining the sink outlet just above the p trap. I have cleaned the washing machine and put bleach and drain cleaner down the sink pipes. They appear to be flowing freely. Also had the p trap off and cleaned it out.
The smell has only started in the past few weeks. Two things have changed in that time. The Mrs has started using non-bio in the washing machine (new baby) and we have a condensing tumble dryer in there now which makes the room very hot. However when it is on the window is open.
Any ideas as to how to solve this?
I use a plunger, but it's all about the sucking, not the blowing.
