Absolutely glued to the hd slow mo slope style. As an old skier who tries not to get more than foot of air, this is awesome!

Moguls, a sport designed by knee reconstruction surgeons. How wrecked must their knees be after a career doing that? Bonkers.

As an old skier who never rated snowboarding... I agree!! Brilliant stuff, I loved it.

Of course once upon a time I didn't fancy mountain biking either. Those baggy shorts and stuff.

...and you get to watch it all again tomorrow, but for the women. 6:30am for the semis and 9:15 for the finals - BBC 2.

Jenny Jones (3 time gold medal X-Games slopestyle winner), and Aimee Fuller (just plain awesome) will be sending it for Team GB. Both still have to get through the semis though, fingers crossed.

As a massive fan of snowboarding and having been in the presence of these guys at the British champs in laax, having spoken to both the guys several times at events around the country, and Tim warwood lives just down the road from me and I used to skate with him it's safe to say that I was up at 0530 to watch with my 2 year old both glued to the screen. Snowboarding was the real winner today, great to see the level of acceptance that it has received. Great to see the true spirit and comradery of something so dear to me being expressed so vividly. Rad.

Men's slopestyle was amazing. The British lads did themselves proud, especially their qualification runs. For brit (male) snowboarders to be mixing it with the best in the world is incredible. A few years ago, the Scandis and co were streets ahead of the brits. The lads have demonstrated that they have the talent and the tricks, and on a good day could have been on the podium.

Looking forward to Jenny Jones in the womens slopestyle on sunday.

Yes I agree. They put on a great show. Beat the hell out of figure skating.

If anyone thinks that helmets don't save lives, check out that last crash of the Czech lady. She'd be in hospital now without a helmet on.

Brilliaaaaaannnnnt!

And to think that Jenny was so near to retiring from the sport, but has stuck at it because of the Olympics, and has got us our first medal on snow!!

That was quality this morning. I find the athletics and what-have-you at the Olympics mind-numbingly tedious. I really just don't get it

But the Winter Olympics are bonkers in comparison, and about a million times more entertaining!
