I've got a 1982 bottle of Dom Perignon that I'd like to find the value of. Any idea how to do that anyone?
To me £0.00
Good luck with the stealth advert 😉
On eBay .99p let it find its market value.
Google is your friend

But you would have to pay me to drink it. Horrible stuff.
It's not worth anything to me either, I put it in the fridge last night and was going to open but wife said 'best not'.
Ebay is the plan.
Can't generally sell booze on eBay.
You can sell wine by prior arrangement but you need to be licensed.
It really depends how it's been kept for the last 30 odd years.
Ah bugger. It's been stored in a dark cupboard, fairly constant temperature, upright. No sediment and label in good condition.
Many auction houses hold a beer/wine and spirits auction.
Tennants In N.Yorks hold them every 6 months or so, a phone call will let you know if they are interested.
I'd presume there may be an auction house closer to you, just ring around, but dont put it into a general auction, as it probably wont fetch a good price.
Sell the "bottle" on eBay. With contents included. That's what a lot of people do. Or contact a wine merchant and see if they will buy it off you.

This
This one has probably been stored properly

Wine.com says sold out but was $349. So not worthless.
So that cupboard has probably fluctuated between a few deg above freezing and near 30° so any wine aficionado wouldn't go near it.

No it hasn't.
It's not OENOTHEQUE which is far more valuable

I can only assume you have your cupboards outside the house.
Standing upright is the problem. The cork will dry out & shrink, spoiling the wine.
One doesn't store champagne on its side.
We do & we make a lot of it.
Fair enough but going by guides I've read there's no need to store it on its side.
I could take a look at it for you 😉
Don't you have to rotate the bottle once in while to stop it corking.
The bottle rotation is part of the champagne making method, once it's bottled and sold just keep it on its side so that the cork is in contact with liquid

now hypothetically, if you were the dishonest type....
how would any buyer know how its been stored until its been opened?
I imagine the type of person who spends £350 quid on a bottle of champaign aint going to be opening a pay pal dispute?
Just ****ing drink it!

The sort of person who buys expensive wine won't buy it from a random source. I certainly wouldn't.
