3:10am and I'm wide awake, mainly due to throbbing pain from my injured wrist. I think 2-3 are the worst hours to be spark upright knowing a full work day awaits.

Listen to something helps me, Get a pillow speaker from ebsy/amazon then any speech radio like LBC or an audio book.

I'm awake but then it's midday in Seoul. I'd rather be asleep, in fact I'd rather be in a coma than in Seoul.

Take 3 before you go to bed, and get some ear plugs, don’t drink alcohol either but plenty of water.

I'm not usually in work until 9:30-10 Couldn't sleep, so got up, and I'll be there by 7:45.

A day of knackeredness awaits 😴😴

Won't my colleagues be surprised to see me! 😁😁

Yes. Lots of stressy stuff going on so if I wake at all during the night, hard to get back to sleep.

What is this 'sleep' you talk of? Had maybe a handful of good nights of sleep in the past few months. Oddly I think because I'm somewhat knackered most of the time trying to cram stuff into every day. Something needs to change.

Pain from a broken shoulder + Newborn + stress from finding out about likely rendundancy + family member being diagnosed with breast cancer = not a lot of sleep.  It sucks.

I get a couple of hours total sleep at most - usually wake up every so often and struggle to get back to sleep.

Usually want to completely crash about 06:00 when my alarm goes off for work.

Missed out on the Peaks MTB marathon the other week as I couldn't sleep the night before - still clock watching at 04:30. This wasn't helped by the random anxiety attack I had right before bed which had me sat on the floor of the bathroom for 20 minutes shaking and feeling like I wanted to pass out.

Been struggling woth this for a while now and not getting any support/help from the local NHS "emotional wellbeing service" isn't really helping..... no wonder there are so many people with mental health issues.

Take 3 before you go to bed

Three!? My Mrs takes one when she's having one of her occasional bouts of trouble sleeping, and she's out for the count. Taking three is mental.

Not sleeping. The SSRI I'm on for pain (knackered back) isn't great for sleep.  Been taking Nytol 50mg for four days but it's not working well.  Feel sleepy and eyes tired, but not drifting off. Just have to 'rest'. Even with co-codamol it's not working well.

I did take 2 last night, but made no difference. You build up resistance fast.

I liek to alternate boxes between Nytol (half of a 2 a night, the oners are too strong) and Sominex

Sominex 16

It has the same knockout ingredient as Night Nurse, apparently, which always works on me.

Oddly, the Mrs has found that different brands of nominally the same drug are more effective than others. Co-op own brand, Boots own brand, Nytol and another I can't remember are all 50mg diphenhydramine (sp), but the Boots ones just don't work for her. Maybe it's the binding agent or something.

Four year old who’s never slept through and a teething ten month old. Caffeine is my only friend. Typing this whilst struggling to stay awake. If I had a full nights sleep I think it might actually kill me.

Doesn't help that rhe drug I'm on makes me regularly jump/twitch when going off, then the missus kicks me onto the sofa. Spent the best part of 18 months not sleeping after my injury, with nearly every night on the sofa. Not slept well since I broke my spine.

Anyone else notice the knock on effects? Started making silly mistakes at work, too knackered to train during the week, craving sweets and sugar for energy bursts?

I had crap sleep patterns. Gave up drink, try to get to bed by 11 every night and I sleep until dawn, longer if I've had a good ride in the evening.

Working away from home at the moment and staying in a hotel so rarely sleep well. Seems to be the lack of exercise and hall lights on all night.
