As the title says, any advice to give.
Would only be for the odd night or 2.
Cheers
Take an umbrella
Crack the window, probably keep your pants on.
What's your bedding going to be? Best thing about having the old futon mattress in the van was being able to take 2 duvets in winter, nice and toasty. Hot water bottle if you don't have a dog.
Was thinking of a couple of 5cm camping mats on the floor and a big thick duvet or 2. Have a dog but he won't be with me.
If your floor isn't lined maybe a bit more under you but should be fine, regularly had to scrape ice from the inside of the old transit
a dog
Gads.
I slept brilliantly in my van, think it was the fresh air, awesome. Something to piss in, save getting out the van in the night, proper mattress and winter duvet, you'll be reet.
The floor is factory lined, with what seems to be about an inch of something soft with rubber on top.
Whatever you do, don't drink alcohol!
You’ll be fine, as long as you’re not silly enough to go commando or anything.
Take some seriously warm gear with you, you can always stick a leg out if you’re too hot.
Don’t forget a pillow.
Winter bin the UK? You will be hard pushed to get below -10 unless it's a cold snap in parts of Scotland. Would not worry.
Comfy wooly hat.
Used to sleep in my van after night shifts at the trail head to gain an extra hour or so sleep instead of home to sleep
A wooly hat meant i would get a good sleep
Use an old sheet to make an 'inner tent' suspended from the ceiling to stop drips of condensation falling on you.

Most folk make do with a tissue
Scotroutes is an experienced van sleeper, he knows.... 😝
Van, winter duvet, dog, portapotty. Didn't die.

Slept in the mighty Galaxy up in the Lakes, sub zero by a few degrees. Woolly hat & a couple of sleeping bags. Slept peacefully.
I lived in a T2 with no heating for a year. Four season sleeping bags with a duvet over the top kept us warm. We used to sit in the sleeping bags. There was quite a lot of condensation and it froze, yuk. The water pump froze, then the tank froze, so I removed all that and used water bottles which we kept under the duvet when it got really cold.
Lol @ Scotroutes! Wonder if that's why some take a dog....😂
slept in my old high roof transit year round, for years.
condensation is cold when it drips on your face in the morning.
i used a old single mattress and a army kip bag. warm as.
