we got ours from go outdoors, they didnt complain, infact they spent most of their time bouncing round the tent like maniacs, but thats how it goes, summer camping tho, bit cold at the moment

the sleeping bag you already have, tied off with a belt at a point that stops them going all the way to the bottom.

but that’s the sensible answer! What you really want is…

Have a look at the vango nitestar range. They do some suitable for kids and are much higher quality than some of the rubbish that some of the outdoors shops sell for kids. They are cheap too.

had both those vangos and they are fine for kids but dont pack down all that small

I also had a ready bed for when they were little with an integral air bed in it.

If you are anywhere in the north west you can have that if you want it

Hateful things. Every time the child moves it sounds like someone running their nails down a blackboard. We put blankets between the inflatable part and the cover in the end.

Alpkit half bag. £70 but good enough to pass on down to brother/sister or cousin etc.

Sleeping bag is a false description though. We just call it a bag, since not much sleeping goes on in it. Bouncing bag might be a better description.

Both of ours used a vango nitestar convertible. The bottom zips off to make a tiny bag for little 'uns. We then used a Thomas the tank inflatable ready bed to put them. Always slept well.

This one - not that I am trying hard to sell the free thing- has an integral compartment for the built in air bed and makes no sound that I ever heard.

Our lad still uses his Ready Bed. Its a plain one and will be fine for him until he is about 9-10. He's 7 now.
