never understood why horsemeat was an underhand business not readily available and easy to buy? much prefer horse steak to beef.

It's not, what's underhand is selling horse as cow and not knowing the provenance of the horses as he should have.

I've never knowingly eaten horse, but I would no problems, but if I buy a beef burger I expect it to be beef. Not some dodgy old nag with no provenance which has been snuck into the food chain with no though to food standards and safety to make a few extra £.

Eating Horse meat in the UK is a cultural thing, it takes a long time to change that kind of thing.

I agree, Meat is meat, no point getting too precious over where it comes from really is there...

I think what really upsets people though is that it wasn't declared up front, if you're in the market for a 99p lasagne you probably wouldn't be all that shocked to discover it was made using the spare bits of a few different beasts rather than prime cuts of angus, so long as you were told somewhere on the packaging "May contain some Dobbin" would people really care?

Are they wallabies over his left shoulder?

You know what, I think they might be, or really big bastard rabbits...

They'll be in his award winning pork pies soon
😯

Why was he tried at Southwark if he's from Todmorden?
