If you bought a new VW diesel in the window and you feel you’ve been financially penalised by the scandal why not.
I’m not sure it will be successful, they’ll have to prove damages and as far as I can tell the second hand buying public shrugged their shoulders and kept buying them at the same sort of prices pre-scandal, any unexpected depreciation came from a general move back to petrol which has been greatly over-stated.

I see the deadline is next Friday (26th Oct) and, whilst tempted as it says that it is no-win-no-fee (Slater & Gordon), my inherent scepticism whether this can be really true is kicking in
I was listening to R4 last month(?), there was an American lawyer on whose US company has this type of experience and is assisting with claims/advice in the UK. I think that GDPR would limit spam
Given I have been affected by having to breath in increased levels of toxins from those who bought one can I make a claim too?
Seriously though, how much financial hardship has really been suffered here? If anything owners ended up paying less on emissions tax than they should have, albeit for a short period
Stinks of greedy lawyers trying to make a quick buck now that the ppi well is running dry.

Definitely this, but it is no win no fee so if you qualify to join the action go ahead. I would.
It's greedy lawyers but they have a chance of making a few bob. But it's not really affected anyone, the cars do better MPG before they fix them, that's the point isn't it. Less fuel...
As we know it's Governments looking at the latest tax generator - diesels aren't generating enough tax because the manufacturers lower co2, and the cars do miles better on MPG than petrol. Ohh... problem.
Ignore the fact that diesels have always been dirtier than petrol full stop. Petrol driver here, but this change stinks of income generation.
More 1.0 turbo petrols going bang I feel, especially if not maintained properly.

Yep, more you drive more you pay, goes some way towards paying for all that driving infrastructure you keep using.
I signed up but can’t find the vin no as I sold the car recently. I got less for the car than I thought I might a few yrs ago but I guess that’s life selling second hand cars. The more I th8nk about it the more I think it’s nuts actually owning a modern car these-days.
most stress free cost effective reliable vehicle I’ve had over the last ten yrs has been my 2004 Ford Ranger which is still going strong and I’ve spent about £100 on in the 6 years I’ve had it. That was an oil change service.
