I spend a fair bit of time outdoors and have been shaving my bonce down to the wood for years. I usually wear a hat if it's sunny, but not always if it's not. I'm rubbish at remembering to put sun cream on and haven't yet found one that isn't either greasy, stinks, runs into your eyes if you exercise, makes me sweat more or makes my head shine. It's starting to take it's toll, with a few age spots starting to appear (I'm 60). So somewhat belatedly I think I should do something to prevent too much more damage.
So moon on a stick wish list. Is there a combined moisturiser/sun cream which is non-greasy, light and easily absorbed, no fragrance (or a very subtle one), doesn't make my baldy heid shine like it's chromed? Ideally one that I can use on my face, head and neck and which won't run into my eyes if I exercise. I'd like to find one that is easy enough to apply and effective, so I can make it a daily habit to use it.
I use CeraVe moiosturiser with SPF, mine is SPF30 but I think they do 50 as well. Seems nice to use on my face and head, not greasy and doesn't stink!
I still use suncream when I'm going to be outside for a while in strong sun. The clear spray ones aren't usually greasy. Can recommend the one from Aldi.
I have a little spray bottle of sinscreen that doesn't grease up hair.
I will remind myself and report back.
La Roche-Posay is great. Instagram is always pushing Bld Bros, no idea if that is any good though.
Thanks. I've ordered some "Bee Bald" from Amazon which gets OK reviews. I've also seen the CeraVe stuff in Boots so I'll get some of that too to compare.
Boots Soltan do a spray for baldies. Smells lovely too.
Slaphead for 30 years now. I was using P20 or P30 as it was only one that didnt sting when sweat ran into my eyes. Aldi do a rip off version and I tried the SPF30 and its really good. Doesn't smell and I haven't had a burnt head so I'm assuming it works. A third of the price of P20 but I havent seen any this year on my wanderings around the middle aisle though
That sounds good, I'll keep an eye when I'm in the aisle of dreams.
Trust me
Err..... No. Lol!
I use that stuff- fits the brief. Non greasy etc..
Nivea face moisturiser with spf30 every day keeps me looking young and wrinkle free

Is that you Iggy Pop?
I'm very rarely seen outside without a hat. May to Oct = Baseball Cap. Oct to May = Wooly hat.
My favourite is a lightweight, foldable Mountain Equipment baseball cap. Brilliant for sticking in pocket when not being worn. Failing that, any sunscreen that we have around for the kids.
After an op on my nose I try and protect the top as much as I can as it gets burned too easily. I always carry a soltan stick, it's tiny but in emergency you can raz it over your head/face/nose and then rub in by hand. It's saved me a roasting plenty of times and isn't too sticky or smelly when I didn't have the spray to hand
Hat most of the time. Normally some style of flat cap in different materials depending on the weather. P20 in strong sun and a moisturiser with SPF30 or above at all other times. That Bee bald stuff is expensive, thick and comes in a tiny tube. Not great value for money.
I keep a short stubble on mine, the only time I’m outside without a hat is if it’s cloudy, and even then I’ll usually have a hat on of one sort or another. If it’s really hot I’ll put a SPF50 on my arms and shoulders if I’m wearing a tank/vest top, but that’s about all.
Solarsport do both a Moisturiser with SPF, or a Sunscreen that is non-greasy here:
