I'm off to Portugal to ride my bike down warm dusty trails with #TheLads in April. Flying from Bristol to Lisbon. The Skyscanner site tells me that I can sign up for price change alerts- which I have done. The price has already gone up since I signed up but I missed the notification from Ss. When does the STW memberhip reckon would be the optimum time to buy tickets? Difficult I know but your best guess would be good if you can.

Cheers, beers and waves from Wales 🙂

Tough question. Simple answer is: most likely to be cheapest when tickets are released and will only then rise in price from then on. Unless the flight is not going to be filled, then it should get cheaper close to the departure date, in an attempt to sell unsold seats.

So flights will only get cheaper if they are unpopular.

Best way to get the cheapest fares is to be flexible on choice of dates.
