Great film; would be even better if 20 mins shorter.

As enjoyable as bond is (Casino Royale is a decent film) I much prefer the straight down the line, more gritty feel of the Bourne films.

Skyfall is the grittiest of all the Bonds!

Home Alone with shotguns.

Having said that, it is a decent film. And a very good Bond film.

Poor man's Bourne Identity.

Bourne was good but it was only ever an American version of Bond.

A bit like saying a Mustang is an American version of an Aston Martin. no comparison really, they should be judged independently of any "similarities"

Bourne was utter drivel.

Not really comparable. Bond is complete fantasy, Bourne has a possibility feel.

Can they not both be great?

Bourne is nnothing like bond. That's hilarious.

They are. I wouldn't miss a film from either series although I wasn't too impressed with the new "Bourne"

What, and miss the scene set where we ride? For obvious reasons my favourite bit. We used to do night rides through the set 😀

No, 20 mins overall! End was excellent, although a couple of those 20 mins could have been cut out there 😉

I love the fact that the lodge seen was set in the middle of the Surrey Hills (ok with a bit of help from the odd computer). Annoying that I missed the actual filming (you were allowed to watch the filimin of the fire etc) but fun to see local running paths in the film.

Lovely bit of real surrey heathland/fake Scotland used for the last 15min of film. 😉
Have been on set at pinewood and the Manilla water/hotel shot is fake and shot on the big outdoor tank, looks great in the film though.
Mendes/Deakins did an excellent job.

I love it. I haven't seen the other Daniel Craig Bond films, but I will get them now, on the strength of Skyfall.

Every time I see the first shot of the Scottish glen I think "There. That's where I want to live. Right there in the middle of peace and quiet".

I've got all the Bourne films too, love them. The last one not so much but I've only watched it once, perhaps I will learn to love it when I've seen it a few more times.

Love all the Daniel Craig Bonds, and the Matt Damon Bournes - new Bourne was a disappointment, for me.

Erm last "Bourne film" wasn't about Bourne, he was a CIA agent called Aaron Cross

Pedantism is alive and well this morning 😉

Enjoy them both, especially Bond now that DC is in the role, as he at least looks like he could 'take care of himself' unlike some of his predecessors!

The Bourne films always disappointed a little, as films usually do when watched after reading the books.

I enjoyed Skyfall.

Worlds smallest claim to fame.. I've worked on the eh101 helicopter in the end fight scene.

Sorry to shatter illusions but it's still in one piece.

and you do know they way you phased it looks like you assumed the new Bourne film was about Bourne with a different actor, isn't the English language great 😉

Am I the only one who thought it was the weakest of the Daniel Craig Bond fillums?

It was awful, Daniel Craig is a great bond, but the movies he has been in have all been truly awful.
