I have recently updated to fibre
With the ethernet cable attached I am getting about 38 mbps.
Through wireless it ranges from about 8 to 26 mbps. This varies what appears to be randomly. Currently its at about 10mbps.
I have tried changing channels, some make it worse. 'Auto' appears best.
Any ideas what else I can do?

Try changing the encryption type to AES if it is TKIP if this is a modern wireless box. You've tried the standard things and the channel is usually the problem but as that hasn't worked I have found that TKIP is very occasionally the problem
Have you tried switching it off and back on again?
Is it a new router? Could be broken, ring the provider?
The routers are rubbish and if you ring sky they'll tell you to test the speed on the cable as they don't guarantee speeds on the wifi.
I replaced mine with an Asus touter that does faster speeds on the wifi.
What are you connecting from ? does it support 'n' ?
Ah, I missed that it was Sky. They'll probably tell you that it's your fault for not using a yellow cable.
