Ive just re contracted with sky and got a decent deal on sky Q with a 2TB box and 1 mini box.
I wouldnt mind 2 mini boxes but the price he quoted was a bit too high. Am i correct in thinking i could just buy a used mini box and install it myself at a later date? I know they are technically loaned from sky but ive seen them on ebay.
Is it that simple or do i have to activate the box with a fee .etc.
Anyone know?

The setup guide seems to show that they will just look for a Q box on the same network so you may get away with it.

How much and which packages? Â Interested out of contract person here, who was quoted full internet price with no discount last week.
Go through with cancellation then once in your 30 days period go on chat or give them a call and youll get a far better deal. i do it every year i had 60% off last year.
Thanks Somouk. Tbh after checking ebay i can get one from sky for less it seems so thats probably the route ill take rather than risk one off ebay.

I've found it handy for watching footy in the living room using headphones ( not wanting to be banished to the bedroom ) while the missus is watching Jimmy , Jimmy Mary Berry Saturday Morning Kitchen stuff ..which still works to my benefit in the long run ..!
It's also handy for my son to use in his bedroom..he doesn't watch too much tv ..preferring his PlayStation..but can use the app if there is anything he wants to watch on his iPad ..we actually saved money by taking the old ( now obsolete)Â sky+ box & HD out of his room ...
Sky Q kit is only on loan from Sky.
Those on sale on eBay are breaking the rules. If they have been used before there is a risk that Sky can detect the box by it's serial number and shut it down.
So the rumour goes anyway....
