It never used to do this, nothing has changed in the settings, why has it started doing this?,... And how do I fix it?
Mine did this a while back, lots of failures and missed recordings and apparent clashes. Also it stopped ending the recording at the end of a program and would just fill the box. Ended up having to do full on housekeeping (ie loosing all current recordings and planner stuff) which was a ballache to redo but sorted it all out just fine.
Have you fully powered it off? I know that sounds condescending but ours started missing the end of programmes and fully restarting it fixed that. Check the EPG as a programme is about to start/end and see if it moves the line along, ours didn't!
I had lots of problems with missed recordings etc so did a " planner rebuild " which fixed it and didn't loose any recordings either. Planner rebuild is located in a hidden service menu, can't remember how to get to it off hand but Google will tell you.
Had that twice now and planner rebuild with a reboot fixes it, never had to do a full clean.
mine did that last summer and i ended up contacting sky who told me the software needed updating...they did it via the phone line and all has been well since. if its not the software they are pretty good at helping you diagnose and fix most problems
as above do a planner rebuild and if there is new software it will pick it up

hmm, box seems to say it cant find my network anymore, and i got a new router a few weeks ago, perhaps thats the problem?
I got it to search and it couldn't find my new network, how to I get it to find it?

is the update done through the phone line the sky box is connected to or wirelessly though my wifi network?
