Our sky box is a couple of years old. We got the pay once, march forever, freesat thing. The screen keeps going blue and saying no signal. Twenty seconds later, it's back. We followed the advice on screen and left it turned off overnight but it's still no better. Anything to check or do I need to go and buy a new box?

Cheers.

I replaced a load of capacitors in the power supply in my [4yr old] HD box as it was acting odd - known issue on some boxes but maybe only HD.

Could it be the LNB (receiver on the dish) is on it's way out? I have a box which is a good 8-9 years old and is still going strong.

Google suggests that it's a common fault with the power supply on Thomson boxes. Error 25 it seems. Any easy way to tell if it's this or the dish?

Well, seems the box was knackered. Thirty quid at argos and problem solved.
