Again? thousands of acres of scrub and a run down council terrace in the middle of nowhere...I can't guess why it doesn't sell

This keeps coming up in pretty much every feed i have, facebook, twitter, google... think i've even seen people posting about it on IG.

I obviously know lots of the right people.

Doing it properly will be another few million, or buy a Range Rover.

Skiddaw house has some sort of hostel lease until 2027 as well, if social media is to be believed.

Tractor.

It'd probably take until 2027 to find a removal company willing to drive their lorry up there...

It was YHA for years, there was a note in the YHA hostel guide saying to expect post to take at least 6 weeks to deliver.

Then it went private or at least it was run privately on behalf of YHA - something like that.

[planningpermission] 8′ high wall, heli-pad, tarmac driveway, extend in every direction, 360′ bi-fold doors, timber clad, private land signage, [/planningpermission]

That's sort of what I'd do but it'd be a vast rewilding project.

It looked like it was re-wilding itself last year (not a bad thing).

I have it on good authority that I was probably conceived there. December 1955.
Ma & Pa we’re always over that way & used to stay at Peter Farm but often had a night in Skiddaw House. In those days it was either a shepherd or gamekeeper who stayed there & Mum & Dad would hitch a ride up in the gamekeepers Willys Jeep & stay next door.
So she told me anyway.

I was just about to call the agent and get my cheque book out, but that's put me right off!

We rode there once mid winter, wasn't open but they kindly let us in and made us tea.
No one was stopping there but there were loads of walkers boots in the hall. We did worry about being murdered.
Some of us also came away with loads of flea bites.
I then got a puncture riding away, we were definitely going to be murdered.

The gamey was a massive bloke called Bill, hence the nickname 'Big Willy'.

Anyway, Mum had a glint in her eye when I showed her this photo, taken in March 2000.

Oh, so not this then:

I see they're throwing in the summit of Skiddaw for your 10 million. Sadly not the Ullock Descent though.
