I'm looking to buy one of these. Any recommendations? Any gotchas to be aware of?
Probably need an 120 by 80 cm size of that makes any difference.

I have a Flexispot frame that I put the desk top from my previous sitting desk on. Works well, solid enough. I have one in the office but as I am still working from home more often than not it's nice to have the option at home too.

If you are particularly tall or short it might be worth checking the maximum and minimum extension too.

I've had a Maidesite T2 Pro Plus that I used with an existing desktop for just over a month now.   Still working well and it feels solidly made though I expect time will tell.

It's tiring though! probably thanks to tight hip-flexors / hamstrings / etc.  I can definitely feel it after an hour so currently making use of the timer function which did otherwise seem a bit of a gimmick.   The height memory setting is quite handy to avoid having to make micro-adjustments but also a bit of a luxury.

P.S. anyone found that they, errr, stimulate the peristalsis?

Ikea IDÅSEN frame + old desk top for me. About 3 years old now all working as it should. It actually has a lot of weight on it, 34" monitor, PC, laptop, fan, monito riser, ipads, hard drives etc. Seems to cope very well and one of the few frames that went high enough for me.

Flexispot frame with the old desk top for me and full flexispot desk for my OH. Both of us still use daily for several hours standing.

I'm at hone 3-4 days most weeks and I miss standing when I'm in the office, always start the day standing for the first few hours, then sit before lunch. Stand again in the afternoon and sit when I feel like it.

Flexispot legs with the 4 height settings controller and an ikea desktop. The ikea desktop is cheap and naff and ideally I'll replace it with a slightly larger one at some point soon. I also use a balance cushion for a lot of the time I'm standing.

I splashed out last year and bought a Lavoro Advance Dual Motor Desk

I really like it. Getting used to it was a mild shock to the body but I do feel the benefit of it. Standing up after food also aids digestion

I took the plunge and bought a 120x80 Flexispot with the 4 settings.

Solid bit of kit that was easy enough to assemble.

Thanks for the pointers everyone!

I picked up a stander from Shape Seating in Bakewell earlier this year. 160x80

Arguably too bit but lovely. I’ve also migrated from an office chair to a stool, and have a balance wotsit for when I am in meetings.

Don’t underestimate how much of a difference a fatigue may and proper comfy shoes make. I hate them, but a pair of crocs literide fully changed my standing desk game.

Another Flexispot here with old desk top. I have been using it with no problems for at least three years. Mine has the memory function but if there is any chance of the desk snagging on anything then the non memory ones are safer. They are about £130 on Amazon without top and £200 with.
