I've just posted about this on the sunak thread as, IMO, we have (more than) enough political threads.
He's 61; a woman of 57 has been charged with aiding and abetting - his wife, possibly?
Preaching moral rectitude and a leading member of the Presbyterian church; another hypocrite.
Much as I have contempt for his political and religious views, there have been other high profile cases in which people were accused of and charged with terrible offences, and they were never convicted. Even the politically awful Neil Hamilton...
Edit: of course the only way to solve the mystery is an open, free and fair trial. No juries for these kinds of trials in NI, right...?

BBC reporting that charges are rape and other sexual offences; much more than a grope or slap on the arse - which are unacceptable sexual contacts.
It hasn't taken long for this to move from...alleged historical sexual offences to a charge of non-consensual sexual activity to the charge now being described as rape and other sexual offences - in the space of 3 hours.
It get's worse.
https://www.belfastlive.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/husband-wife-co-down-charged-28907532
A husband and wife from Co Down have been charged with a series of historical sexual offences against two children.
As said, this story moved along pretty damned fast.
Could turn out very nasty for him given what the UDF/UVF used to do to child molesters, a balls in mouth moment.
Even if he's not guilty of these crimes, he's a nasty bit of work who was 100% opposed to the Good Friday agreement
Remember his part in pulling out of power sharing Govt leaving the population without functioning Govt
Thoroughly nasty git on his best days
The guidelines for protecting the anonymity of victims of sexual abuse;
There are legal protections for victims of sexual offences.
• The Code also puts restrictions on reporting of sexual offences to protect the identity of victims.
• Carefully consider the information you want to publish to ensure that a victim is not identified, or likely to be identified. •
Consider the context of the offences and whether the combination of information you are reporting could likely identify any victim.
• Additional protections apply in cases involving children, especially when there is a familial relationship between defendant and victim.
I suppose the next question is whether this will derail the NI assembly just as things were looking more positive? Let's hope not.
No I’m reporting posts that I feel breach the law and CoPs on naming victims of sexual crimes;
Consider the context of the offences and whether the combination of information you are reporting could likely identify any victim.
and the mods weigh things up and do the moderating. They have to protect the forum publishers and we should all be trying to protect any victims and preserve their anonymity. And I didn’t report your last post.
Reserving comment until the law has done it's thing.
My only input at this point is that SIR (for now) Jeffrey would I am sure advocate righteous hell and damnation for all evil miscreants; and whatever relevant earth based preliminaries can be meted out before the wrong doers are in front of their maker. Equally, I'm sure he is very keen on all sinners being treated equally under the eyes of god and no one getting a free pass because of their place in society. It's what a DUP flavoured god demands.....or something like that.
If I had posted a link to the BBC report, would that have been removed?
I appreciate and understand the sensitivities and legal considerations in this type of case so, to re-iterate, I'll wait until further verified facts are in the public domain at which point I'll decide whether or not to post again.
