I'm looking forwards to Tempest Brewery being open again and meeting a couple of the locals that helped me decide to move up here.
Already met quite a few people from here over the years.
Had some epic rides and equaly epic pissups with a few on several occasions. 🍻

have a turn publishing the 500 Internal Server Error at random times

Why the massive reduction? I quite like the STW roulette wheel of 'will I get a server error when I clock on this link' every time I use the site.

Edukator, independent minded and puts an interesting and considered point of view even if you don't agree with him.

And welsh farmer, comes across as genuine and worldly wise

with both beer and cake.

I’m definitely up for any group ride that ends with cake. Badly out of shape from two bouts of Covid, but can bimble with the best.

One of my mates owns tempest, great beer. They sponsored our team at the last GT7. Good to know the crowds will be back once this is all over.

MNPR sounds great. Always enjoyed them on the few rides I went on. One of my first ever rides after moving here was with them, out of Littleborough. Maybe one night I’ll hang on for a pint.

I’ll be doing my usual General Melchet routine and ‘leading’ from the rear, so you can join me in my traditional ‘tail gunner’ position

You say that, but you were Mark Cavendish compared to me on my inaugural (and only) STW ride.

If anyone's concerned about match fitness, rest assured, I'll be worse.

Oooh how exciting.
Because I've been drinking with many of the above, I'll choose 3 I've never met:

Perchy,
TiRed,
Flashy.

But I'd really like to babysit for gnusmas while he went drinking with other stwers.

Also I'd like to drink with all the lovely ladies of STW (sadly few and far between nowadays).

Actually if I opened an online pub I’d called Booz-zooms

Flashy’d be the one with the purple handbag.

Matches the shoes.

Bunnyhop,

I'd happily stand you a round. As long as CG, GolfChick and all the other STW ladies both present and past join us. This place is better with a feminine touch.

Thank you @easily and I'd definitely be up for buying the first round and discussing how I manage to make the SDW into a biking version of Death Race 2000.😁

The last year has really made me aware of how important this forum is to me. I'd be genuinely mortified if the mag and forum disappeared. It would have a big and negative effect on me.

Without sounding too Kumbaya, It'd would be easier for me to list the people I wouldn't have a beer with in here.

This place is my virtual home, lounge, support group, reality checker and life coach all in one.

Handy for bike stuff too.👍

SDW

That reminds me of another: Rob Colliver. Weird forks and enormous gonads. Not sure I'd want to see either, but an interesting chap for sure.

Tracey cos she always has useful advice and info. CG cos she sent me stuff, and I’d like to say thanks. scotroutes cos he’s got all the routes, and again spent time to send me Very detailed info on a trip, and ton cos he’s also been ace and sounds like a man who can drink.
My memory is bad I struggle to remember the many other folks who have sent me stuff, or just been a real help.
Hoping to have real beers real soon.

I don't want to see any of you, No Siree 😉 I'm on childminding for gnusmas whilst everyone else goes and gets pi55ed. I reckon The Red Lion in Abergorlech will see us proud.

Actually, I've just thought, and this is probably a topic for another thread,

We could do a virtual meet? Teams / Zoom / FB Messenger or something? It'd get silly if there was a huge take-up but I'm thinking interest would mostly be the 'big hitters' either mentioned or posting on here.

Like, we could hang out and talk bollocks, or I could do a pub quiz or something. Eh, someone, someone could do a quiz. But we could all actually have a beer together.

Does this have legs or am I maniac and everyone's way too busy?

Because it'll be the equivalent of a Handforth Parish Council meeting, about what constitutes a pie.

We could do that cougar. We'd all have to put our forum handles as our name. You could do the quiz on kahoot and chat on zoom at the same time.

I'd be up for that for sure. I've a few online quizzes I can run for up to 50 people - but proper online so you need a phone / tablet / laptop for the quiz and another for the zoom bollocks

Grum - so he can help me with the mystery that is called "consistent sourdough"

Digger - to talk about retirement and all things skiing. His posts are always reasoned

WCA - because if anything is going to go wrong it will happen to him (Sorry WCA)

Special mention to binners - he's great with the crayons !

@nbt what software are you using for that? I've played a couple of similar things, toying with the idea of subscribing to one.

We use myquiz.org. Fairly simple interfac for creating quizzes, I'd like to be able to compile offline and import but for free you can't complain. can go higher than 50 users if you subscribe. They have free samples you can import and use to try out

Nice. I'll have a look, cheers.

Just remembered, https://www.mentimeter.com/ was one of the ones I've used.
