Afternoon all,
As a dedicated supporter of Singletrack I signed up to the subs and get a mag one month and coffee the next.
I'm sorry to say the coffee is (in my opinion) pretty unpleasant. I have 4 unopened bags.
Does anyone here actually like it?
If you prefer a lighter roast (I do), the Ride And Shine beans as the ones you want.
I found it to be inconsistent is all. Sometimes good, sometimes... not so good.
Does anyone here actually like it?
Not me

Aha, I shall give that a go
I actually liked that one. I prefer a dark roast over the lighter ones when adding milk so was good for me.
how do i get that instead then?
@ibnchris we are working on that. We need to set up something techy our end... or something really manual..
Can I really manually ask for the other one 😉 ?
Deadline s too bitter & strong for me - prefer Ride & Shine by far..
Not really contributing to the debate, but I like my coffee to be 'put hairs on your chest and draw your cheeks in", so deadline preferred. Ride and Shine is nice, but a bit wishy washy - again, a milk in coffee drinker.
Topic divergence- anyone put olive oil in their coffee? Apparently it’s a new ‘thing’. I’m about to try it.
There’s some proper wrong ‘uns on here - I’d give yourself a months ban!
Deadline for me, always glad to see it when it arrives

Sounds revolting but I will await your review. Google suggests it has health benefits so it can’t be nice can it?
Olive oil? Thinking about it, oat milk uses rape seed oil to give it that creaminess, so it could be a similar thing?
Ok. I'm halfway through my latte with a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil added.
It was all blobby and oily looking when i added it. But after frothing it blends invisibly.
Tasting notes. It makes the coffee extra creamy, which is nice. There is a hint of olive oil in the taste so it does change the flavour of the coffee. It's not at all as bad as I feared it could be, but I'm not sure about the taste change.
If you can froth your own coffee I'd recommend giving it a go. It's different and I reckon some make really like it and other will hate it.
I used full fat milk so I think maybe the effect is a bit wasted on me. I *think* it may make semi skimmed or oat milks much more creamy feeling though. I may try it with oat milk later.
As has been suggested, makes sense with oatmilk in light of the fact Barista oatmilk has added oil to make it foam better.

Nope, but I did use olive oil for fried bread this morning. Tasting notes: delicious, not necessarily nutritious.
It's got to be better than the 2.5yr out of date Nescafe Cappuccino sachet I found in the cupboard and drank because we've run out of beans. Tasting notes: hot chocolate, sugar, powdered milk, coffee absence.
interesting.... can i ask why, better flavour or diet related? (Olive Oil, not mouldy old nescafe)
my kitchen holds supermarket ground italian style coffee, a french press, a bottle of vegetable oil and a fork.... so im not sure i will be bowled over by the experience
Is there a setting I need to alter to get the alternative bean?! How are you all getting it?!
