Youngest wants an instant camera polaroid type thing. She has already won a phtography prize at school using my D90 and is mega into it.
So there are a few on the market, fuji, polaroid etc. Does anyone have any expereince with this?
I got the wife a Fuji instax 90 I think. we use it a fair bit and can get some decent results, you just need to ensure lighting is ok and the correct setting. You think about what you take far more. Mostly family pics of us.
I also made a photo frame with a black perspex middle. Use the bluetac dots to fox pics on the board. It's a great way of displaying them. Once board is full, pop in an album.
My daughter has a Fuji Instax Square which seems to be a good balance of film cost, size and quality.
She brings it out ta capture family at birthdays and Christmas etc. and it is a nice little book of memories now.
There was a little box on the gadget show yesterday that printed Polaroids from your phone. Seemed like a good idea as you could be more selective with what you actually print and I suspect a phone takes much better pics. Was still portable. They seemed to like it, I wasn't paying much attention to who made it through.
We have a Polaroid snap camera. The actual camera is quite nice, and it feels well made. The picture quality is pretty poor in good light ranging to abysmal in low light, but actually that's not the point. It creates fun pictures, and if you buy the right paper they're on stickers.
The don't seem to do that one any more (we got it in 2018 I think), perhaps the current models are better image quality.
